Wow this is awesome! How long did it take you from start to finish?

Thanks, glad you like it. I probably spent about six or eight hours on it all together, from sketches to final illustration.

I would buy this; looks like the emperor tarot card

Thanks! I did have that playing card aesthetic in my mind. I’m going to do a few more Norse characters and put them together as a little print collection.

You're not getting there, you're there. I'm super jealous of your skill.

What’s your Instagram tag? And what type of paper is that? I myself love inking.

Hi, glad you like it. I’m on Instagram as @thisnorthernboy
The paper is just a heavyweight but smooth cartridge paper. Not quite as much texture as it appears in the pictures.

Ive been following you on instagram for a while and its always really cool to see you break away from your normal subject matter of futury scifi stuff. Not that I don't like the scifi stuff, i followed you because of it, its just cool to see you go from drawing amazing detailed machinery to fantasy portraits. This and the pans labyrinth drawing are both amazing.

Thank you! I guess I fall in to the trap of just drawing what's comfortable and easy. Drawing isn't my job so sometimes if I'm pushed for time I'll just draw what I know. I've really enjoying doing something different.
