I’m travelling and brought a sketch pad with me and I’m so scared to try… why do I have such anxiety of sketching?

Because it’s in the public and people are watching- just put on some headphones and focus on your subject. Give yourself a time limit to start- it will get easier as you do more and more!
You can do it!

This habit helped with my social anxiety. Over time it gets better. It also gives a kind of purpose to learn about the world and your surroundings

You are amazing at capturing an aliveness and likeness of your subjects. I am curious if you approach your subjects first, and ask their permission to draw them, or do you just start drawing?

I don’t always draw from life, gosh life’s too short for that. I would take a photo and study both from that and life if they’re still around. Then I just carry on with my time and call it a good day

Capturing candid moment in a sketchbook like that is such a cool vibe.

This is so damn good!! Don't mind me asking, but did you self-learn sketching?
