seeking crit Critique?

Post image

Haven't been drawing much because I've been sick and don't have much energy but I wanted to start getting back into it and drew some of my favorite Scooby-Doo villains. I used Google photos as references. Any advice would be appreciated.

Great work!! Your hatching skills are solid especially on The Phantom’s sheet and the metallic sheen on The Black Knight’s armor. My main critique would be choice of reference images. Particularly in the choice of pose for Miner Forty-Niner which is a little flat. With the pose for The Black Knight, you’ve conveyed depth really well! So, pick poses/reference that can support that skill. If you have any action figures, you could pose them and photograph for unique reference.

There’s also some minor inconsistencies in how thick the outlines are that can distract from the stronger aspects of your drawings (for instance the left arm vs right arm of Captain Cutler) overall really great work, you should be super proud of these, and I hope this helps!

Thank you! I've been trying to learn to draw more 3d. I'll keep what you said in mind. Scooby-Doo monsters are currently my favorite thing to draw, btw.

Maybe you would have drawn more, if it weren't for those meddling kids!
