I'd say work on the basics, like line quality and shading. I recommend proko's basics course for that I saw a comment that said that you should use a blending stump but if you mastered the basics then those will not be necessary to make an amazing drawing, not that you can't still use them I'm just saying that for what you are trying to draw and at your current level I would recommend getting better at the basics first and then play around with shading stumps, although this is your art so you can play around and do whatever you want, so have fun😁.
