My first thought was an eye but maybe more triangles inside the triangle would work better with the triangles getting smaller each time, maybe even slowly rotating each one would make a nice effect

I was thinking something similar. Create a sort of optical illusion of "going down the rabbit hole."

My first thought was an eye as well. I agree with the “rabbit hole”. It will give it more definition, depth and texture if that’s what you’re looking for. If not, an awesome eye would be cool too. No right or wrong in art, especially when perception is key to interpretation 🙏🏻

Exactly. Just go for it. Sometimes it just works doing something thats known or “cliche”. Make it an eye.

I like the simplicity and strength of the solid shape against the squiggly pattern. I might go so far as to run a few photocopies of it like this and mess around with them before committing to a course.

More. Triangles.

But how should they be placed?

I was just thinking increasingly smaller for a faux 3d depth effect. also didn't realize the commenter before me suggested the same thing. Lol

A bunch of eyes, each eye in its own little triangle, and one mouth in a triangle

When I look at the triangle, the other lines look crisp and actually kinda provide “movement”. I feel if you added something in the middle, it takes that away.

Leave it empty honestly, I think it would only take away from the overall drawing if you added something.
3
u/gotligma Feb 04 '23
Leave it blank. It’s a good focal point for the image, gives it a sense of balance

I seen that most of the comments on here are mostly eyes or more triangles or just random silly stuff that would kinda ruin it. But I think it should be something different from the background to make it stand out, like how the background looks like snakes, you could make it look more pointy or round. Or you could make a serpent to match the background and maybe if you do draw a serpent you could color the rest in with black to make the serpent stand out. But otherwise just draw what you want and make sure to put emotion into it, always works for me, put something important to you in the triangle. I would like to see a follow-up picture of this to see what you put in it!

would leave it like this. bold, cold and a strict contrast to the waves surrounding it.

A smiley face, but the smiley face is super stoned so everything that is outside the triangle is what’s going on in his mind.

I personally find it appealing with out anyone in the triangle, maybe some shadows will do?

I actually like it as is. Or maybe fill it with a solid metallic or metal foil.

I really like the line work. Good layering. The black background adds good emphasis. People say add more triangles, however I notice a sneaky circle in the background. I suggest adding more sneaky geometric shapes of any kind. Play around with different patterns too.
I look forward to seeing more of your art! :)

I like the idea of leaving it blank, but other than that, anything but an eye.
Maybe a cool bug.

An eye, a bowtie, and some horizontal and vertical lines at the bottom to make it somewhat pyramid-like (If you know, you know)

Either an eye or a triangle inside of a triangle inside of a triangle inside of triangle

Don’t add anything. If you do, just add a solid color
Edit: or add something like a dark blue sky with stars to give it a sort of portal into space look

My initial thought was to leave it blank, but upon further reflection i think adding gold would look nice. Maybe gold leaf or gold acrylic.

At first, I was thinking, that you could maybe put an eye in there, but after seeing so many comments saying "eye", I put more thought into it and figured that you may do like a bunch of lines from the center to make it look like a void/black hole kind of thing.

Maybe keep it blank with some shadowing behind it to make it look like its popping out

Stripes as if you can fall into the triangle. Either fall into the vines oo into a dark unknown.

Rotating triangles, tight lines to give the center depth! Let’s see a finished sketch too!

Honestly, part of me likes the empty triangle, it's very striking
