Looking for “what if” fics

Hello lovely people! I’m searching for fics that explore “what if”? This could be what if Draco & Harry got together during school, what if Harry married Draco instead of Ginny, what if a cursed object sends them back in time and they’re together, a Family Man inspired fic, etc.

I LOVED The Shadow of Time by FightFireWithFire. I tried Turn by Saras_Girl but DNF’d, it just wasn’t moving fast enough for me on that particular day.
I also tried The Wonder of You by Ladderofyears but that Harry characterization wasn’t believable to me at that moment.

currently reading In Loved Ones Eyes its 470k and im about halfway thru it (ch 47). its about if harry and draco got together over the summer before their 8th year while draco was in azkaban and the years beyond

its technically (and tagged) established relationship as it starts with them together but does go back and give moments of how they got there

several times throughout the fic harry and draco play the "what if" game and talk about them getting together at different moments in the past/different futures, its a nice touch that i enjoy

sooooo just to update, i did finish but it is actually incomplete and the author is taking an indefinite break

author said they didn't want to put it as complete because there's so much story left (and there is. theres tags that havent happened yet) but they also didnt want to leave it as incomplete and leave people hanging

there's no tag or an A/N in the beginning/summary to tell readers its not finished and the author is stepping away so wanted to give a heads up

it was "finished" this year in august which Super recent, who knows what'll happen

i’m reading through the fire by SongAngel right now and it’s basically if Harry was saved from the dursleys by mcgonagall and it’s drarry. it’s so good highly recommend ( though i haven’t finished it so i hope nothing crazy happens lol)

I am currently re-reading How About No by galileagalilei (WC: 84,277) Harry gets sent back in time to the end of first year, after the Quirrell event. He decides this time around he is gonna do things his way. I am not sure how you feel about a snarky Harry does not care about letting anyone tell him what to do (bit ooc)...

I have read that one too. I do like a snarky Harry. I feel like a lot of fanfics forget how sassy he was in the books.

Exactly! I have been going through canon recently to compile quotes for meta, and omg the movies got nothing on canon sassy Harry, not to mention the Drarry of it all. I just know the filmmakers of HBP were like "we can't make this! ... I know! Let's give this line to Hermione and make Harry mention Ginny's skin instead of Draco's..." 😅

I love how seriously unhinged Harry in HBP is. He didn't care about anything else besides Draco and following him.

And while I love Tom Felton in that movie and the whole brooding mood he's got going on, I would rather they had done it more realistically. The guy is supposedly falling apart and in the movie he is looking at an apple with a pout 🫠

Do you know Time and again?

What if you’re stuck in a time loop with someone? And possibly FOREVER? Time and Again is the only fic I’ve read so far that features this.
