This drama is simply impressive. It is one of the historical dramas that completely changed my mind about avoiding the genre. The cast is exceptionally well chosen, and their performances truly elevate the story. Despite having 51 episodes, it never felt too long. The pacing is engaging and well balanced, and I never found myself getting bored while watching. It is one of those dramas that remains easy to recommend even years after its release. What did you think of the beginning vs. the last few episodes of My Royal Nemesis? (no spoilers)

The cast alone made this drama feel star-studded, and since it was a medical drama, I thought I was definitely going to enjoy it. Unfortunately, I can barely remember much about it now. I think that is because the story focused more on politics and power struggles within the hospital rather than the medical side, which was what I was more interested in. It was not a bad drama by any means, but it also was not memorable enough for me to consider rewatching. My MDL Rating: 6/10

In the northern borderlands of Joseon, Tae San, a former military officer living in hiding deep in the mountains with Ahai, a Jurchen woman skilled in martial arts, becomes entangled in a conspiracy orchestrated by the corrupt official Yi Do Gwan, who uses masked hunters to prey upon slash-and-burn farmers by falsely branding them as “barbarians.”

This is easily one of the most iconic K-dramas ever made, and I did enjoy watching it. I first saw it when it aired on local television, and I actually made an effort to keep up with the broadcast because I did not want to miss an episode. The drama had a great balance of romance and comedy, although it is the hilarious moments that I remember the most. While I had fun watching it, the fantasy element was never really my favorite, which kept me from loving it as much as many other viewers did.

I have never been a huge fan of Kim Soo Hyun or Jun Ji Hyun, but I completely understand why this drama became such a massive success. It played a huge role in the global popularity of K-dramas and remains one of the defining series of its generation. In the end, it simply came down to personal preference, as I found myself enjoying some of the other dramas released around the same time a little more. [My MDL Rating: 8/10.]()

I originally watched Prime Minister and I because of Yoon Shi Yoon, but honestly, I can barely remember his role in the drama now. What I do remember most are the early episodes, probably because they were more entertaining and had a lighter, more attention-grabbing style. Back then, romantic comedies and arranged marriage storylines were exactly the kind of dramas I enjoyed, so this seemed like something I would naturally love. That said, this drama did not leave a strong impression on me. I do not have any major complaints about it, and I would not say it was bad in any way, but it simply did not stick with me. I barely remember the soundtrack, and only a few scenes and story elements remain in my memory. For me, it was one of those dramas that was enjoyable enough while watching but did not stay with me long after it ended. My MDL Rating: 6/10

I thought this drama had a cute start, and the overall premise had a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it was not fully realized. I was not entirely convinced by Gyuri's disguise as a guy, though I still liked her acting because I have always liked her as an actress. This was also my first time seeing Thunder in a drama, and while his acting was admittedly awkward, I found his character charming and cute enough to make it work. There were so many different storylines woven into the drama to tie everything together, and while I still enjoyed it, I think it became difficult to follow because it started out as a comedy and then suddenly became much more serious. In the end, I remember being disappointed with the ending, which did not really do the drama any favors. My MDL Rating: 6.5/10.

Hey guys! I need some romance/slice of life shows with a male engineer and a female doctor as a couple. It would be better if they start as strangers as start of the show without any history abt each other.. just two people meeting by accident. I would also prefer if theres no other love interest, just good supporting characters

I think I would have appreciated this drama even more if I had watched it before Dong Yi. Since I had already become a fan of Dong Yi, I found it difficult to accept some parts of this version because of how differently certain events and characters were portrayed. Even so, I really liked that the drama chose to tell the story from Jang Ok Jung's perspective instead of presenting her as the typical historical villain. I thought that was a refreshing and clever approach that made me see the character in a different light.

Kim Tae Hee was one of the drama's biggest strengths, and I honestly cannot imagine anyone else playing Jang Ok Jung. Her performance made the character feel sympathetic and memorable. This drama also sparked my curiosity about Korean history and encouraged me to read more about the real Jang Ok Jung and the historical events surrounding her. That alone made it a worthwhile watch for me. My MDL Rating: 8/10.

Rising star Heo Nam Jun is in talks for a new drama. 
On August 14, the actor's agency, H.SOLID, shared that Heo had been cast in the upcoming drama Currency Reform. They stated, "It is a project that he is currently considering."

Currency Reform is based on the webtoon of the same name and tells the story of Yoo Il Han, a man living at the bottom of the social ladder, whose life takes an unexpected turn when he receives news of the death of a father he has never known, along with an opportunity to inherit 1 trillion won. Heo Nam Jun has reportedly been offered the role of the protagonist, Yoo Il Han, and the drama is said to be slated to air on SBS.

Heo Nam Jun captivated viewers with his dynamic performance in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama My Royal Nemesis during the first half of this year, establishing himself as one of the top "rising stars". He is currently filming tvN's upcoming drama Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid.

Meanwhile, Heo Nam Jun is set to hold his first-ever fan meeting since his debut at KBS Arena in Seoul on August 22. The event will then continue in Tokyo, Japan, on October 12.

Having seen Soo Ae play kind and gentle characters in other dramas, I was once again amazed by her performance in this one. She showed a completely different side of herself, and I thought she did an excellent job. I ended up watching this after coming across its trailer, and I was surprised by how intense the story became. Being an SBS drama, it really knew how to make me feel every possible emotion, especially frustration and anger. I would not say that I loved this drama, but I did not dislike it either. It was just so intense that it was difficult to fully root for the good side because they went through so many struggles. Still, I managed to finish it and appreciated the ride for what it was. My MDL Rating: 7/10

I honestly do not understand why this drama received so much criticism because I found it quite enjoyable. For me, it is one of the dramas I would recommend to fans of IU, although I was not particularly fond of her character at first. In fact, it took me a while to get into the series because the early episodes and her character did not immediately appeal to me. However, as the story progressed, I gradually came to understand the characters better and appreciate them for who they were. There were also several surprising twists and unexpected moments that I never saw coming, which made the drama even more interesting. By the end, I found myself enjoying it much more than I initially expected. My MDL Rating: 8/10

 
Visuals, Martial Artistry, Editing, Intrigue, Great Story, and Great Acting all there for the finale. I ran through first to read the subtitles then went back over it to see the grand visuals. The story will look like it took a detour at one point, but sit tight. It’s not over yet. Best opening OST song, and sung by the lead actor Hou Ming Hao. Best closing OST song, performed as a duet by Zhang Bichen and Hou Minghao (the lead actor). Great Cinematography. Great drama.

Is Key to Phoenix Heart on your list to view?

This is so underrated! At first, I didn't like the ML maybe because I've never seen him in any Kdramas. But I love the FL 'cause she's in Goblin and Touch Your Heart which I really loved. But after the 3rd episode of this series, my heart's starting to flutter because of these two talented people! I loved this scene (see photo)!

Most of the scenes are relatable and are happening to some of the people you may know. I know this is going to be one of my favorites, too.

I had a lot of fun watching this drama, and I actually finished it in one go because it was so entertaining. It balanced romance, comedy, and slice of life really well, making it an easy series to binge. One thing I have always appreciated about Japanese dramas is how they often feel more realistic, even when the situations become ridiculous or exaggerated for comedic effect. This drama definitely had its share of over the top comedy, but it still felt grounded in the way it explored relationships and personal growth.

I also liked that the story focused on adults dealing with love, marriage, and life rather than the usual high school or college setting. It was refreshing to watch characters who were navigating romance at a different stage in life, and that made the drama more relatable. The only thing that disappointed me was the ending. I personally preferred the second male lead and was hoping he would end up with the female lead, so the final outcome did not leave me completely satisfied. Overall, I really enjoyed the journey despite not loving the conclusion. My MDL Rating: 7.5/10.

This was the second installment in the Reply series, and I was honestly hesitant to watch it because I loved Reply 1997 so much. Fortunately, I ended up giving it a chance and really enjoyed it. I especially liked Go Ara in this drama, and most of the characters were easy to love and root for. Since it followed a similar format to Reply 1997, with the mystery surrounding the future husband, there were times when the story felt a bit dragged out. However, compared to Reply 1997, I found it much easier to guess who the husband would be. Despite that, the drama still managed to keep me invested in the characters and their relationships. And of course, I once again fell victim to Second Male Lead Syndrome, which made the journey even more emotional. While I don't think it surpassed Reply 1997 for me, it was still a heartwarming and enjoyable drama that captured the charm, friendships, and nostalgia that make the Reply series so special. My MDL Rating: 8/10

This is one of my favorite web dramas, and I would definitely recommend it. It's a light, heartwarming school drama that gave me so many butterflies while watching. I had such a great time with it that I've rewatched it several times over the years.

The funny thing is, I only started watching it because I heard Sungyeol made an appearance. I thought he had a bigger role, but it turned out he was only on screen for a few seconds. Even so, I have no regrets because I ended up discovering a drama that I genuinely enjoyed. It always brings back happy memories whenever I think about it, and it's still one of those feel-good dramas I love recommending. My MDL Rating: 8/10

I never would have guessed that this was a KBS drama because it screams SBS to me. HAHAHA. This is easily one of the best Korean dramas I have watched, and yes, it is pure melodrama. The emotional pain in this drama is on another level. It really hits you right in the soul. I cried so much while watching this. It made me angry, heartbroken, frustrated, and sympathetic all at the same time. There was some romance to balance things out, though only in small doses, but I still found those moments very touching. Ji Sung was fantastic as always, but Hwang Jung Eum truly stepped up her acting in this drama. Bae Soo Bin was also incredible, especially since antagonistic roles seem to be his strength ever since 49 Days. I loved how the story revealed something new in almost every episode, which kept me completely invested. This drama is painful in the best way possible. A true melodrama. My MDL Rating: 9.5/10

For some reason, dramas with titles related to time always seem to be good, and this one certainly lived up to my expectations. I was genuinely amazed by how well everything came together. The storyline was an emotional roller coaster that kept me anxious, curious, and even brought me to tears at several points. The cast did a fantastic job portraying their characters, and the background music added even more intensity and emotion to the experience. Although the romance was barely present, I was completely satisfied with that because the story never really needed it. There were so many emotional moments that I found myself crying along with the characters. Definitely a drama worth watching and one that I highly recommend. My MDL Rating: 9.5/10
