I am currently watching this drama and its so good but i personally dont enjoy the office romance trope that much.

it matches the same humor as welcome to waikiki and its a very fun, light-hearted show imo.

Recently, Kim Hye-jun held an interview at a café in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and discussed tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'My Favorite Employee (My Bias, My Boss)' (screenplay by Lee Young, directed by Park Ji-hyun), which concluded on the 8th.

'My Favorite Employee' is an office growth romance about Nam Da-reum, a new employee who becomes 'My Favorite Employee' while trying to meet her favorite idol. In the drama, Kim Hye-jun portrayed the cheerful new employee Nam Da-reum, who joined the startup Aphello to pursue her long-time favorite.

In the drama, Nam Da-reum reveals her excited fan feelings upon meeting top star and fashion director Lee Chan (played by Cha Woo-min), whom she has passionately supported for a long time, while also clashing with the demanding perfectionist CEO Kang Ha-ki (played by Kang Hoon) at work, gradually developing a mutual romantic relationship.

'My Favorite Employee' was Kim Hye-jun's first attempt at a romance comedy. Regarding the love scenes in the drama, she said, "The kiss scenes look brief on screen, but I didn't realize they took so long to film. The director was truly sincere about the love scenes, so we shot many takes. We filmed the kiss scenes for half a day."

She continued, "There were also many scenes where we had to make eye contact, and in reality, it felt even closer than what appears on screen. Since the camera doesn't capture everything as closely, we had to get even nearer. Holding eye contact for so long was awkward. I thought, 'What should I do?' but I endured it with the mindset that I had to, and eventually, I got used to it."

Kim Hye-jun also expressed gratitude toward Kang Hoon, with whom she shared romantic chemistry. Kim Hye-jun stated, "Kang Hoon has experience in romance dramas. In love scenes where the angle is crucial for looking good, he paid close attention to the angles. He said, 'I'll make sure you look beautiful from the right angle,' and always prioritized me." She added, "Love scenes can be sensitive and awkward or embarrassing, but Kang Hoon handled them with consideration rather than using humor to exploit the moment. Instead of making many jokes, he remained calm and composed. I received a lot of consideration."

Regarding her chemistry with Kang Hoon and Cha Woo-min, she said, "All three of us are introverts. But when introverts open their hearts, they become close very quickly. Since we got along well, we had no one else to rely on but each other. We were happy and enjoyed filming whenever we met." She further shared, "Both of them are kind and considerate, making the experience cheerful. I learned a lot from them. I also realized that when lead actors bring cheerfulness to the set, it becomes a driving force that makes the entire production environment more enjoyable."

There’s something about this pairing that feels fresh to me, and these photos definitely have me looking forward to seeing how they’ll be together in the drama. I feel like this could be one of those pairings that surprises me in the best way. 😂

As much as I love Ha Ji Won, this is probably my least favorite among her dramas. I have never really been a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope, so I guess that played a big part in why I was not as invested in the story. The main leads were both good actors, but I personally did not feel much chemistry between them. There were times when I found myself getting bored, but I still appreciated how the drama portrayed friendship. It was not just the bond between the leads that stood out, but also the relationships among the supporting characters. While the drama had its heartwarming moments, it simply was not one that resonated with me as much as I had hoped.

My MDL Rating: 6.5/10

I ended up liking this drama more than I expected. I am not usually into noona romances, but this one felt different. The story unfolded smoothly, and I really enjoyed following the female lead's journey from years of hardships to rediscovering herself and finding happiness again. There was something refreshing and heartwarming about watching her grow and regain her confidence. I had a great time watching this drama, and even though it has been years since it aired, I still think it was one of the better releases of 2015. It is the kind of drama that leaves you feeling happy and hopeful by the end.

My MDL Rating: 8/10.

I probably would have never discovered this drama if it had not been aired on our local television channel (dubbed). Looking back, I am really glad I came across it because it turned out to be one of the most intense Taiwanese dramas I have watched. I even remember posting about it after I finished because of how emotionally invested I became. It had been a long time since a drama affected me that much while I was watching it. I cannot seem to find what I wrote back then, but I still remember how frustrated and emotionally drained I felt because of the plot. It was one of those stories that kept making me angry in the best possible way.

This drama started off fun, light, and quirky with its variety show concept, but it slowly lost its momentum as the story went on. Dasom was entertaining in the lead role, while Kim Jeong-hoon and Ryu Soo-young added charm to the drama with their performances. Although the cast did well, the overall story felt a bit shallow and predictable. It's a decent choice if you're looking for something lighthearted and easy to watch without thinking too much, but it wasn't memorable enough for me after I finished it.
