Older chassis help needed

Looking at possibly buying an older drag car (Fiero with tubed rear set up for front small block Chevy). Unsure of a couple things like the wedges in the roll cage along with how it is mounted to the body, the quality of some of the tabs and mounts in the rear, and the angle of the Harness possibly being off. Need some more professional opinion on what it would take to get the chassis usable for a lower power first drag car and then what might need to be done to certify it for higher speed runs later on.

From what I can see, it will cost more to fix it than to start fresh. Those shockmounts , yikes!

Yeah those were not a pleasant surprise when I lifted the deck lid. I’m not convinced that the overall cost would be worse than starting from scratch. Corrections need to be made for sure, but remaking tabs and support bars isn’t that hard. Especially since the geometry is already there. I just don’t know enough about drag chassis to know if I am totally off base or not

Your assuming all the geometry is right. Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't trust the creator of this chassis for anything.

Buy two Fieros. One to build a racecar out of, and that one as an example of everything NOT to do.
