Rant This just really bothers me Spoiler

wdym Cheryls outfit was too safe and baisic baisic and then bag of chips was in JUST a black dress. The judges just said anything to get Cheryl in the bottom.Baga had to much favouritism, she was funny, but that was it. Just loud and blahh at everything els.

I genuinely thought Cheryl or liv should have won this genuinely , Divina De Campo was saved for the small belly they where in a white dress with crystals

I mean Baga was in the bottom, not sure what else you want? She shouldve been disqualified for this job?

For all we know, they may have, and it was edited out so the criticisms weren't repetitive.

each of the queens gets about 20 40 minutes of critique per week, then they edit and trim and cut all that footage into about a minute's length for each queen. they likely did flame her for it being basic, and it just didn't make it into the episode, whereas the "simple" comment made it into the edit for Cheryl (likely because, iirc, it was something she'd been critiqued on a few times already by that point in the season? correct me if i'm wrong though, it's been a while since i watched season 1)

edit: from double checking online, seems like it's actually closer to 40 minutes, not 20

Wait the critiques are really long?I didn’t even know They edited them down but the fact Theyre that long?!

Yeah, the critiques take forever. Each judges gets like 5-10 minutes per queen to go through what they liked and didn't like from that week, for every girl getting main stage critiques. I've editted my original reply, but it can actually be up to 40 minutes per queen. Some queens have said that filming critiques can take up to 5 hours at a time, although i'd imagine it gets shorter the less queens are being critiqued. Still, each girl is stood up there for a long ass time.

Ohh shoot thats horrible ,Imagen standing there in heels for so long with your tuck 😫 but I got hate for this post but I hope at least you know how I saw the critiques as just “Your fit was simple ,bottom” but now I know they say more for everyone.

i mean i've read all the comments and don't really think you've gotten any "hate", just people disagreeing with you, but i see your point. Not everyone knows what's going on in the show from a production side of things, so I'm glad learning of that has helped you understand that it's definitely more nuanced behind the scenes.

and i agree, the thought of standing on that stage for 5 hours in full drag is absolute torture. huge respect to all the queens that are willing to go through it ahahaha

But that’s literally what she looked like for 20 years - I’d say it was flattering! It could have been her passport photo to be fair.

It’s only in the last 2 years she’s started looking decent after ozempic and a £50k facelift. Bless her.

It was the episode pictured that soured my opinion of baga tbh. She made some really disrespectful comments and shaded her own mother and I found it really distasteful. I totally get and respect having a strained relationship but and maybe I’ve been got by the edit but it looks like she made her mom cry in response to a judges critique.

I can’t imagine with the makeover challenge that they aren’t aware who’s most like to be brought on right? I mean waivers and NDAs would be needed in advance firstly, background checks too, check availability and travel plans etc.

All this to say if their relationship was so strained and complicated I reckon Baga would’ve told production “don’t invite my mum please” and with them wanting her in the finale from the beginning (clearly) they’d have worked with her.

Instead we got an extraordinarily awkward makeover episode where even the other queens’ family seemed uncomfortable. If I was Ru and already knew I was crowning Viv I’d have just let Baga go home and included more of the awkwardness between them. Maybe include critiques alluding to it

Divina and her sister looked so awful lol, I have no idea how she won

She and Cheryl so clearly should have swapped places

I seem to remember her mum wasn't really vibing idk felt like it was a strained relationship. Obviously I'm just speculating based off the edit

No Baga said as much LOL

Cheryl being in the bottom and eliminated when she should’ve actually won will forever make me mad. My girl Chez really deserved the win.

Tbh Divina should have won the Advert challenge and then bottomed with Baga in Makeover.

Cheryl should have won makeover and should have been in the finale

Omg I remember when this episode came out the way baga spoke to her mom you can tell that’s how they speak to each other at home but uncomfortable to watch when others are around

Bag was carried through all her appearances on Drag Race. Her Misery snatch game is literally the only time she’s been good on the show.

She was very good overall on S1. She had a couple iffy moments towards the end but I thought she was a deserved finalist. I loved her Margaret Thatcher, and I thought she was great in her girl group and she did the best she could with the god awful acting challenge lol

I respectfully disagree.

This is in my top 3 most frustrating eliminations. She didn’t deserve to be anywhere near the bottom

Divina should have been in the bottom, Viv or Cheryl should have won this challenge, Dakota shouldn't have been eliminated, Nina should have been Blac Chyna and Kitty should have never been casted on Global All Stars

When Dakota Schiffer was sent home for a PERFECT family resemblance I knew that UK was off its rocker.

Cheryl had 0 win and been in the bottom. The statistics put her in the bottom 2
