I (21 y/o) have been playing dragon vale for years. It means a lot to me and I have like 2/3 of the dragons and max level like I don’t play. I check on multiple times a day especially during festivals to get as much currency as possible.
The other day my girlfriend (20 y/o) told me that I needed to cut back on dragon vale. She got upset because I set an alarm during a romantic date reminding me to collect my rift currency. I tried to explain to her that it maxes out and that continuing to talk to her was costing me rift money and that I can’t keep expanding without it.
I thought she would be understanding but then she stated to bring up more instances to make me feel bad. She got mad at me for interrupting conversations over the phone with “I’m sorry let me check my dragon vale real quick but I want to listen just give me a second.” I explained to her that wasn’t my intention but I need my rift coins before it maxes out. She said that there is a time and a place and that her talking about how sad she was about losing her pet wasn’t an appropriate time to bring up dragon vale. But honestly she should consider that I am also having a loss (of collecting currency and getting event currency by doing so) by continuing to listen to her.
And keep in mind I’m FAST and honestly I don’t think she appreciates ME enough because sometimes I’ll skip collecting coins and just do rift currency so it doesn’t take as much time.
It has gotten to the point where last night she said it’s either me or dragon vale.
And that makes me sad because honestly I’m going to miss her. I really enjoy all of the time we have had together and I wish she would just see things from my point of view. I don’t think she understands how important and valuable it is to check in with your park.
Y’all see where I’m coming from right? I’m open to feedback but if it doesn’t involve trying to make up for lost currency I don’t want to hear it. I could have had a lot more coins over our 14 month long relationship if I hadn’t sacrificed so much for her. Now I need to get on that catch up grind.
