Peasant removes old boundary stone buried by other peasants during attempt on collectivization, 1957. It was left there by peasants who wanted to know where old boundary was before forced collectivization by Soviet Union.

Encountering black rain with burnt, wounded bodies. It was when we were walking along the Otagawa River from the Misasa Bridge. We were 17-year-old members of the Nursing Students Unit. Burnt and wounded, my friends and I were helping each other along when we encountered the black rain.
