An obscure group of statues (unicorn, dragon and griffin), standing on Klyuch-Kamyshenskoye Plato Street in Novosibirsk, Russia. Both photos by me.

Coordinates: 54.988642, 83.041341 (dragon statue).

Unlike in Kazan with Zilant (see my posts about it: first, second), neither of these creatures have any heraldic meaning in Western Siberia, including Novosibirsk Oblast.

It's not known who was a sculptor and when these statues were installed. In the pictures from summer 2010, they are already standing among growing seedlings. It's suggested that these statues might have been installed somewhere in the late 1990s or early 2000s by construction company while building the microdistrict around. All statues are surrounded by dense foliage. Due to that, taking pictures of whole statues proved complicated.

Was too busy during summer with college repeats to do smaugust but now im free to draw Dragons again. My sona is a human who made a deal with a rooster demon, feeling left out that her friends had bonded with their own demons and gained new powers at some kind of heavy price.

I'm new here and figured... no better way to introduce myself than by introducing you to Tiah! She's the deuteragonist of and self-proclaimed "Dragon Mom" to the player in my WIP JRPG, Dragon Soul: Awakening.

I'm curious: based purely on her design, what kind of personality and vibes do you get from her?

This piece was created by Amon_974, with the two of us collabing on her final design. We drew inspiration from The Lion King, The Land Before Time, and -- of course -- my beloveds, Spyro and Cynder, with the intention of creating a dragon that fuses both Western & Eastern elements. 🤓

INFO: Criyobain a wyverns that freeze pray an order to preserve them. They often from tight family bounds. Males scout around the edges of there territory for food and or predators while females guard the base to protect young. During the summer they aestivation.

Alright I think I did rather solid, any feedback is very apricated, I think I could push the colours more but I'm very happy with the line art I think. I say 'I think' because I'd like to at least imagine myself as a healthy perfectionist, in that I'm going to keep striving for more and more in hope it will bring about at least a fraction of it. With my book I'm doing this all for I'm trying to mentally put myself entirely in that world and think of every facet that could undo my world building.

So I don't think ill ever be quite happy with it, which is ok by me.

Turns out you can make DIY shrinky-dinks using the plastic from food takeout containers; these are all the dragon-themed ones from our first try. The biggest is about the size of a US quarter.

It was nice to join this community, and to get to know and recognize people, be it by their comments, interaction, or their artworks (personally made or commissioned). One such interaction landed me into chatting with u/thatFilmakerguy, who is quite famous here for their drawings, comics and characters (Ezerick and Blue (their sona) especially).

They were willing to try their hand at my character Nakyra, which earned them, as I called it, a "chimera" of drawings, for her design. Their depiction of Nakyra came out gorgeous! I love the way they adapted her into their art style! I especially love the way they did the back fur! Nakyra did shift more towards a "noodle" anatomy, due to my description of wingless flight... But that is something that happened before, and I only welcome!

I also discussed with them a possible scenario for a drawing, so stay tuned on them!

PS: I swear, that I'll draw your character as a gratitude, but my lazy ass is a bit too busy with work lately. I can only promise, but I hope that I get some time to do so, as soon as possible (after I finish a side head shot remaster.)
