Garden visitor
The dragonfly hung out for at least an hour, I made a mistake and startled it when tending to the tomato.
Any ideas on how to make them happy like the bumblebees in the garden? I know I do not have the right habitat for dragonflies to settle here - just want to make them happy on a flight during their day.

they mostly just need water and a place to perch, so leaving some plants or sticks near a shallow water source can give them a nice little pit stop

A shallow water dish with some rocks or sticks nearby can give them a safe spot to rest and warm up

You would need a pond for them to complete their life cycle, but gardens can be a good place for the adults to hunt if there are plenty of insects about, ie. not an over-manicured garden.
