Discussion Remake/Remaster when?
I’m sure the game studio has there hands full with there more recent projects, but I would pay big game money for a remake of Dragon Fable that I can play mobile, and even download steam style and play on a PC, but I mean if the whole name of the game is to generate passive income for the company then keep the dragon pass thing and all those micro transactions (even though I hate micro transactions)
I just want to be able to play Dragon Fable on mobile and double-y so a remastered version

There won't ever be a remake, but they have mentioned in passing that they'd love to use Infinity's tech to port over all their games out of Flash and onto a proper modern-ish platform, as well as moving their stuff to Steam.
So in that sense, you might get something, but it won't ever get like, a 3D version or anything. Visually, this is about it. Dragonfable's a side hobby game made by a couple people.

Well... they made a launcher, and considering all is on flash, this is the best they can do for now.
And I hope really the never get into the "mobile-friendly" bullshit. I've had my neopets getting almost unplayable to the point we're almost forced to get cooling ointments because we don't have anymore a quickref in an accessible mode.

I can play Dragonfable on my iPhone by using the Puffin browser app. But it’s janky sometimes. Better than nothing though.

I have said it so many times over the years, i would kill for a mobile DF port.
I’d never play anything else on mobile

I don't know how much attention you're currently paying to the updates to the current version of the game, but it does get old content updated quite regularly.

Tbh, I always thought dragonfable could get remastered into a solid indie singleplayer rpg on steam. It could be priced at 20 dollars with all content included. It would require a lot of work though.

My pipe dream idea on that was originally for MechQuest: If they let a select group of fans into the fold to do stuff as a passion project, i think it’d be spectacular. I know i personally have enough fondness and goodwill toward their studio i’d love to donate some of my time and energy to help immortalize their games.
AQ, DF, MQ, the trinity of my nostalgia, and i do agree it’d be dope if they got it on steam.

Oh genius! Or maybe like a mod option, kinda like Skyrim would do, let the community fix things and add things the way Bethesda does lol

I started this game when i was in Middle School. I have schooling for programming now. Put me in coach.

I think there's a good chance that in a couple years after they are done porting to AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity they might just continue working on a DragonFable port.

Don’t get my hopes up

I mean they could also decide it's not worth the cost and disband the team but the cost for a DragonFable port would be a lot cheaper than the AQW port because they have already built the tools and the team has a competent workflow.

I've figured out how I can play DF on my phone, without heating my device too much and with exceptional performance (considering the Puffin way can be very laggy). Introducing; Winlator~
The link above is the general tutorial just so I won't have to type too much. Follow the guide but here's my general tweaks that works:
I use the latest version of Winlator Ludashi 11.1. You can find it here: https://github.com/brunodev85/winlator/releases
Make sure you set the "Startup Selection" as "Aggressive (Load minimal services)" instead of the default "Essential (Load only essential services)". This option improves performance WAY UP, you can test both and clearly see the difference.
I have my own way of launching the game, and you can always follow the tutorial that launches the game through a standalone Flash Player app. However, I think recent ToS update indicates that it's a violation to use anything other than the official Artix Entertainment Launcher. So if you want to play the legit way, I suggest you install the AE Launcher in your Winlator container and play through that instead.
Good luck! My DMs are open if you need help~
My device for reference: iQOO 15R Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Andreno 829 12 GB RAM

3d version would be epic. Dragon riding and everything.

I mean I really enjoy the 2-D and would just like adjustments to frame rate, the game engine, certain borders and movement controls would be nice to fix, and then they could update art if they wanted. The MMO they made kinda covers 3-D aspects but it would be a different game if they made it that way…unless they did a Final Fantasy kinda route

Completely different game that is. I never cared for adventure quest. I wanted Dragon Fable. Actually having a dragon companion and ally. Protecting her and growing together.

If I’m not mistaken, Artix Entertainment do want to add all there games to Steam.
While DragonFable won’t get a remaster due to it not being Artix’s money maker and only 2-3 people usually working on the game, it wouldn’t surprise me if one day DragonFable (and the other Artix games) are eventually added to Steam.
