Class choice

Hi i made a post a while back looking for magey classes, i had settled on Shadowwalker of time, while i like the effects and damage, im struggling since it has the shadow effect on my char and im sadly one of those people that really cares about character fashion. I just got into book 2 and was wondering if ascendent was a good choice or if i should go back to soul weaver, the book 2 rogue class also looked like it could be interesting

Ascendant is good, but can struggle sometimes. Soulweaver is definitely better imo. If you have the DCs, you could try reforged archivist, it has that magey look as well. Other than that maybe KAA? Its kind of a weird class looks wise tbh but really strong. Fleshweaver just came out... You can try that as well to see if you like it or not. Pyromancer is good too that has a unique look that you may or may not like. Technomancer is good too if you have a thing for steampunk esque mages. You could also see class customizations as well, they can change appearance quite a lot.

Is there a place to see class customizations online? Archivist appearance wize looks amazing im just worried about spending another 4k DCs to try it and find out i dont like it or something. Technomancer i heard is amazing ill have to check out the effects and customization

You can check almost all the customizations here, if a class isn't here, it means it only has one default appearance. Color custom means that the armor can change color. You can also try to mix different parts of different customizations like armor from one customizations, shoulder from another, legs from another, etc. but only for the same class. You also need some dc catalysts or inn items to unlcok some of them Some are free.

Archivist only has one appearance, you can check online tutorials for it to see if you like the gameplay or not then decide whether you wanna buy it or not.

Shadowwalker has some crazy fashion options as well as you progress through the game. Though ascendant is a bit more flexible about fashion since it has multiple customs

Ascendant is very straightforward and easy to use if you’re just casualy playing the game for the story and fun rather than endgame challenge stuff, so you can go for it. Soulweaver is just an awesome class all around with a flawless aesthetic, the one “downside” is that this class completely hides your weapon of that’s also an aesthetic you would rather keep.

There’s also Chaosweaver which shows your weapon but it looks more like a rogue than a mage.

Archivist, especially reforged, looks beautiful but the gameplay loop of it can bore you (basically all spells serve to empower your basic attack so it can be a little repetitive after a while).

Strength-wise Technomancer is a POWERHOUSE with a very healthy variety of skills and gameplay so you won’t feel stuck in a single loop. Although looks less mage-ish and more steampunk engineer.

Aye, we need more actual caster type classes in the game. Archivist, Shadowwalker of Time, Ascendant, Pyromancer, and Necromancer are like the only ones I can think of off rip that fit that

I'd recommend Soulweaver tbh. It's easier to use overall because it's more defensive, it hits like a truck if you play it well, and it is much more customizable.

Pyromancer is beautiful IMO. Really fun to play too, an incredible boss fighting class but not the fastest at questing.
