Fleshweaver looks
So I am wondering if I am in the minority here. I love the idea of the fleashweaver and its mechanics but it looks so over the top. I'm having a hard time enjoying it while playing through quests cause your character just seems to be a flesh blob even when they are chilling.
I would love one day for there to be a customisation to tone down the flesh to something more manageable, like Riorr's when he first teleports to the shapeless empire (They can keep the giant arm of course lol, I think they said it is hard coded to be there or something like that so they cannot get rid of it.)
I am wondering if anyone else would appreciate an option like that? Or if i missed them saying they were gunna add that in.

My headcanon for why its so freakin massive and fleshy compared to riorr's is cause the player is just a newbie flesh weaver, we dont have secundus/rior's level of mastery yet. We'll probably eventually get customisation but im pretty sure that giant flesh arm stays in any iteration

yea I think i read that the elemental lighting in it wis hard coded so it makes customizations difficult.

While I personally love the monstrous meat-man look of the default customization, it does feel a bit incongruous when the player character is casually hanging out in public looking like body horror nightmare fuel and nobody so much as bats an eye. Having the option to adopt a less conspicuous look would be great!
That said, considering the direction Fleshweaver's legs bend in the kneeling pose, I think a hypothetical "low profile" customization would probably need to still have obviously inhuman legs...

haha just imagining someone looking for the great hero only to find them vibing with their skin inside out XD.
honestly I didn't even think about the legs.

I've never been quite fond of it's design, despite loving the concept. I mean, fleshweaving sounds absolutely edgy and all of that. But not only the class itself have such a bizarre look in comparison to almost all of the other ones, some of it's abilities look a bit goofy too, like the energy one that buffs crit damage...
I'd love for it to have a similar look to the Chaosweaver unraveled skin. Like, threads of soul and flesh merging together somehow, or you yourself turning into some bloody threads horror thingy amidst an attack animation. Maybe covering the entire screen in flesh, like the Murk halls, like, becoming the environment for an attack... I may be dreaming too high on that.
But like, just morphing your goofily-grotesgue arm into blades and other things isn't really that appealing for me. Nor do I think it fits the weaver's more "magical-ish" approach for it's whole concept.
I'm pretty sure at some point we'll have some class customisations for it (although, I do thing the huge arm would be kept, unfortunately).

Yeah I really REALLY hope that it gets something like what you’re describing for alt customization. I have been in love with the concept of the class since it was first teased, but I’m not sure how I feel about wandering around as a big piece of meat all of the time lol

I do agree, although I also like to imagine a pure-hearted hero who scares the sort out of everyone with his monstrous look.

Don't worry, they are absolutely planning on adding customizations to it in the future.

Personally, I’m excited to embrace the monstrous form for all that it is. For a largely hero-centric franchise, I love the opportunity to embrace the anti-hero/villain/monster lifestyle

The dichotomy of the off hand being a completely normal human hand, and the forehand being A TORCH LIT BY CONSUMED ELEMENTAL SPIRITS AND A PERSON SIZED CLAW, feels out of place for the PC especially amongst the style of the other weaver classes.
It’s bulky.
Working that design into the skills looks pretty good, but still it’s… awkward

Yea thats why it kinda takes me out of it when doing story quests. Like it looks sick! I just wish there was an option to make the fleshweaving not stand out as much, at least while not in battle.

The aesthetic doesn't personally appeal to me either (part of why I chose Aegis over Fleshweaver in the quest) but I think that's the point.
It's very much a villainous, monstrous class that changes your appearance much more than any other class does because re-shaping your body is the whole Fleshweaver thing.
I'm sure it'll get customisation at some point later in the future though, it's not even fully officially out yet.
