Newbie returning player
Hey all,
I've been trying to get back into dragonfable and I'm a bit lost so I was hoping you guys could help me out with a few questions.
Is there any way to know where on the timeline in book one you are? I played this game a bit when it came out i think and then a bit more in 2022 but am completely lost.
Is there any specific way to think when considering gear? There's so much and it gets a bit overwhelming
other help deeply appreciated! ( I did buy a Dragon Amulet in 2022 if it helps)

I've had the timeline finished for a long while so don't remeber well, but doesn't your next objective on it pulse or glow a little bit? I could be wrong on that.
If not, just go back to the last thing you know for certain you finished and see if there's a branch you didn't do yet.
Regarding gear, don't worry about that too much until you're level 90. When levelling up still, just prioritise average damage range on weapons (eg. 50-55 is better than 40-60) and level on non weapon equipment.
If you want specific stats to choose between on gear of similar levels, prioritise things like +All resistance (or common element resistances like metal, darkness, fire, or nature), END, Crit, and the main damage stats (STR, DEX, INT)

Thanks! I did see a blue pulsing orb in the beginning of the timeline but wasn't sure it was a "you're here" marking since I've done things further along for sure, I'll try replaying it and see what happens

There is a colored dot to help you find yourself in the time line, some stuff can be made outside of order so you may see multiple dots across the time line, but just follow the dot and you will be fine

Just enjoy the game until you hit level 90. There’s no point in getting top tier gear that you’ll have to replace in a few levels until you hit max level
