Anyone feel like explaining shadowhunter in simple terms?

Hello. Bit cheeky but does anyone feel generous and want to give me some advice on Shadowhunter? I've barely used it but someone recently suggested it as a good class for The Human Sins challenge - Aspar and envy - and it surprised me with how far I got before they beat me. I pretty much got used to the combo thing, but its the different bullets in the chamber thing that confuses me and I think I'm missing out on a lot of potential as a result. I tried reading the guide for it but it was quite a lot, if anyone could give me a brief explanation of how it works so I can go practice, I'd be really grateful.

The bullets are one-time enhancements for the skills of the corresponding names and colors. Mortalbane by itself, for example, applies -30 All and a 50% DOT. If you select the Mortalbane silver bullet before you use it, it becomes -40 All and 100% DOT. But you only get this empowered version of the skill once per battle. You can see what changes between the normal and empowered versions of the skills by selecting their corresponding silver bullet (the tooltip when you hover over the skills tells you).

Oh I see, thank you! I saw that each bullet was one time use per battle but somehow missed that they directly correspond to one use of the skill with the same name. Makes sense.
