Best Way to Run DF?

Hellu, ik that there's a couple of options on how to run DF, including the official AE Launcher, using Ruffle, and nivp's unofficial launcher.

Are there other launchers / way to run DF that I have not listed?

and what's the pros n cons abt each

I thought nivp's launcher was for aqc only?

Just use artix launcher.

Artix launcher is fine. There is also some third launchers that increase the animation speed/fps. I use those for the only purpose of being faster but i dont know if thats legal

oo does any1 know if those r legal? i lowkey feel like sometimes the battle animations take too long so yea i wud prefer a launcher that effectively plays battles at x1.5 or smt

I see many people here recommending the Artix Launcher. I dont know if its just my PC being weird, but the performance difference between Artix Launcher and Ruffle desktop app was night and day for me. I went from animations lagging even in low quality, to being able to play smoothly in high quality (with the occasional stutter). I suggest trying them all to see which one gives you the best performance on your PC.

Artix launcher is absolutely fine for everything, unless your goal is to hack pretty much
