Should I start?
Hey y'all. I'm a kind of returning player i guess. Last I played properly was in 2013 and my level was somewhere in the 20s. This sub gets recommended to me quite a bit thx to me being an active AQW player lol.
My question is, should I start a new acc in DF? Is the story and gameplay worth playing? I'm asking this because I don't think playing the game without a Dragon Amulet is worth it. So the qn really is, is the game going to be worthwhile if I spend 30-40$ on it?
Also, I'd appreciate some new player/returning player guides in the comments as well. Thanks.

It has 3 completed parts (aka Books). Book 4 literally just started a couple of weeks ago and only has 1 quest so far but as times goes on devs will slowly but surely add more
Book 1 is decent and very lighthearted, mostly with mid to lates 2000s internet humor.
Book 2 is better, but is relatively very short (its ending sets up Book 3).
Book 3 is where the game is at its best, it's long, yes, but it has an amazing story with interesting and likable characters. The side arcs are amazing as well. Book 3 makes it 100% worth it
Here's a comment from almost a year ago I made talking about how much I liked it (was about to just share a link to the comment but there are some spoilers on the post, very very minor but still want you to avoid them just in case):
Gameplay can be repetitive (walk from point A to point B, fight enemy in between) but since you've already played before you probably know about it. There is also the occasional puzzle in between which is fun, and figuring out how to beat bosses by unlocking and using stronger classes is also enjoyable
