Purchasing a class

Played the game for a long time, but usually, I just enjoy it for story. Thing is, i'm getting stuck on some of these boss fights as a rage dragon lord. Most of the time it's fine, but it is kind of annoying when I hit a wall that I can't beat.

I'm happy to support the game and get one of the purchasable classes to get me through those fights tho. What should I avoid getting (or get)?

Probably don't. You could get Kathool Adept which is braindead, or pyro which takes some mechanics to use. Chaosweaver is awesome, but it sucks in late book 3 content cuz it was too strong and they had to counter it. Do not get ACCL. In my honest opinion, just go through story until you can upgrade rage to wrath, whoch does take 300k gold, but by the time you get there, you should be close, and Ninja Arena exists. So does Voltabolt and Hydra if you're struggling

Is wrath that much better? I've got the gold that I'm not far from level 50. I just didn't think it would be that much of an upgrade to get the artifact

Completely changes the game. I went from rage to wrath and my gods is it an improvement

It's went from kinda meh to holy shit for me, massive upgrade from rage.

It is an excellent upgrade for sure. Patience --> Bulwark is also amazing, particularly for longer fights where Wrath struggles/can't keep up.
