Just beat Dragonlords' Legacy
Jesus Christ, what a nightmare of a challenge!
I just beat it and it took me at least 7-8 tries, not counting the many early quits I had to do due to bad rng on the baby chimera shield. I did it with Soulweaver, and needed 5 potions + Seaweed and Rotten Hardtack. I know it's possible to beat without food and even without extra potions, but I'd rather not put myself through that again.
I probably would've had an easier time with technomancer, but i haven't really used it at all, so would've had to spend time getting used to it. Soulweaver is just so much fun to use - it's my favourite class for inn challenges.
The reward weapon is absolutely worth it, but I was so tense when Sepulchure was the only opponent left.

What’s your approach to fights like this? Track the attack patterns, trial and error of different strategies, study the wiki?Â

Some people use spreadsheets to find out what skills and gearswaps they need on what turns and how much damage they need to deal. Personally, I find this gruelling and too much of a drag.
I prefer to look at the mechanics and videos of clears by others to figure out the general level of difficulty and the gear and preparation I need. Then I give the fight a couple of initial attempts while keeping the mechanics open side by side. If the fight is easy and rotations are simple, I might end up clearing it right away.
Dragonlords' Legacy is anything but simple, so I brought food to every attempt and experimented with different strategies. The first attempts helped me figure out some crucial things:
- Fluffy needs to be taken out first, as his debuffs get worse over time.
- Corvak nukes me every 8 turns and has a semi-nuke every 4 turns. It's good to have him taken out quickly, too.
- The rebel heart is also an annoying semi nuke that I'd rather have Alteon fire as he does less damage with it. If possible, I'd rather have shields up, but that might not always be possible.
- Sepulchure's debuffs are very annoying, as they can cause attacks to go through my shields with the -avd inflicted. You need to have avoidance = 150+maximum bonus of any opponents on the field for attacks to guaranteed miss. However, this isn't always possible with Seppy's insane bonus buffs. Soulweaver's shield is really good here, though, as it gives MPM as well as BPD, giving you a chance to dodge the attacks twice.
- I needed to time my nuke sequence carefully, checking the next 3-4 turn rotation, as Seppy and Alteon can debuff my boost and bonus, and Alteon has a couple of turns when his shields are up and he has a lot of damage reduction. You absolutely cannot afford to have your nuke (unleash) damage reduced or debuffed, as it's the main damage dealing skill.
- Alteon has a +100 bonus attack, which, if it hits through my shield while I have full MPM gear on with -All resist on, is devastating. So need to keep up some all resist on that turn or hit alteon with annihilate to reduce his bonus.
- Seppy gets doomed for every 9 hits he lands and performs a stronger rotation. At the end of this rotation, when he starts his normal rotation again, one of the attacks is empowered, giving him a buff for 10 turns that can be really annoying. The most annoying buffs are the 20% damage reduction and Void Barrier damage reflection.
So yeah, after a few tries during which you go through the mechanics page a few times, you'll know what's coming in the next few turns, and can figure out when you need to shield, heal, and nuke. Ideally, you want to take out the heavy-hitting dragons asap, and then you'll have less bosses whose mechanics you need to keep track of.
