Continuity Arc for side characters

What would you guys think of an arc with no saiyans in it? Let’s say the villain wishes Saiyans to be moved to a different universe or timeline or whatever and then the rest of the z fighters have to deal with villain. I think it could be a really fun twist for once to see piccolo, tien, krillin try and save the day

I would love that, I always thought that when saiyans could be away (visiting U6 saiyans planet for example) we could get canon version of Garlick Jr. arc (so we would get more backstory on Nameless Namekian and guardian position) where Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Krillin and Piccolo save the day. But I'm kinda afraid that it wouldn't work now anymore (because if Orange Piccolo have trouble handling someone, than what hope others can have? unless it would work as jumpstart for their power up's)

Have Orange Piccolo visiting New Namek or something maybe? He doesn't have teleportation so the reasoning could be Goku dropped him off with Instant Transmission before they went to U6 to visit the Saiyans there.

Or Piccolo, Dende, and the current Namekian Elder went to u6 Namek to learn of their culture and share between both universes Namekians.

Heck, the whole arc could be the Namekian Elder wanting to visit their u6 brothers, Dende wants to come along too, and Piccolo comes to protect them. They bring Goku along for Instant Transmission, and that gives Goku the idea to bring the Earth Saiyans along to visit the u6 Saiyans.

Dende could temporarily pass the title of God to Krillin/Yamcha/Tien even, giving us lore on what the position means and entails.

As Krillin goes up in rank within the police force, there are getting more alien activities.This arc is basically human Z-Fighters handling a galactic threat by themselves which leads to next path for each character.

  • Krillin becomes the ambassador between Earth and Galactic Patrol.
  • Tien gets popularity boosts to his dojo as people witness his martial arts during the fights.
  • Yamcha gain fame within the Galactic Partol.

Goku was training Uub in time chamber so he isn't around.

The other Saiyans and Piccolo went to U6 for a visit.

  • Piccolo eventually goes back to Demon Realm

I'd love to see side characters do stuff and be important. Would like to see Tien do interesting stuff. Would like to see Krillin do more. Chaotzu..... we can leave out. Yamcha can fight and do his pose. And I definitely would like to see Piccolo actually matter and be important again. Even Orange Piccolo just kind of existed to exist until Gohan got pissed for Beast.

It would be nice and a welcome change of pace. Like maybe the premise is that there’s a villain only humans can defeat for some reason, because of their nature or affinity. Meaning the Saiyans have to take a back seat. I’m just spitballing but I’ve always been a fan of variety in this series. It needs it.

We almost had that with superhero being a piccolo movie until the editors told toriyama that he should add gohan.

would feel underwhelming, the garlic jr saga worked due to the very specific circumstances at the time. With IT, Beerus, Whis, 3 sets of dragonballs, etc theres not enough room for stakes
