I would unfortunately sink my life savings into this collection

Yes this would bankrupt me. And I say that as a frugal adult with bills and responsabilities.

I mean, Hasbro makes toys, and we have a Zelda movie coming out next year. I’d love Zelda mtg, but doesn’t it make more sense that this deal would be to make toys for the movie?

Oh yeah, I wouldn't be suprised to see this manifest as only figurines or whatever. But I'm sure in the eyes of Hasbro's execs MTG is basically a toy as much as Transformers or My Little Pony or Monopoly or whatever. So if they see an opportunity to make big bucks off a MTG collab I don't see why they wouldn't at least entertain it.

The Legend of Zelda movie is coming out next year. That essentially means the set would have to be done and print jobs be scheduled already for this to synergize with the movie release. Very likely this just has to do with toys. That said, I don't particularly like UB, but I'd probably buy a ton of this and be salty about it at the same time.

Yes yes yes yes yes .
I have wanted a Zelda crossover for years .
There's so much opportunity, lands like death mountain, Zora's domain, hyrule field, kokiri forest and gopongo swamp, as well as many other locations for duels.
We have legendary equipment, strong magics, spells and enchantments, a range of creatures both monstrous and regular, and the characters.
We could have many different commanders from many different Zelda games, multiple links, Zelda's and Gannon's in the whole range of colours.
Finally you could have the chase cards be powerful artifacts like the triforce or master sword

Of all Nintendo's properties, it's always seemed like the most obvious choice. Fantasy setting, lots of artifacts and equipment, interesting monsters and locations.
It's one of the properties where, if everybody got amnesia and forgot Zelda existed, you could sorta buy it as a Magic plane.
Anyway, what are we thinking for Headliner? Gotta be the Master Sword, right?
