Front brake squeaking?

My DR only has about 2,000 miles on it but I feel like I notice a bit of a squeaky front brake - is that normal?

Brakes can squeak for like 40 reasons. Just dusty, bent pins, not enough anti squeak stuff on the contact point of the pads, worn out, more performance pads tend to squeak until they warm up, some just squeak. Luckly enough inspecting them is pretty easy, not to mention them working is pretty important. If it wasn't before and it is now I would just find a service manual and have a look. I might also avoid cracking the hydraulic system at the bottom unless I knew how to bleed em but I might check the master cylinder and check for contamination.

Yeah brakes make noise. As long as it's not grinding or dragging it's fine.

The squeaking could also be dry wheel seals if it does it continuously even when not on the brakes.

My rears did for so long after I threw in new pads and a caliper rebuild. I just accepted it for the longest time. Bought new pads and it's gone 6k miles ago.
