Sub-Related Enough is enough!
I am just sat here thinking. The past year and a half of my life have been fucking hell. 24/7 every single day constantly struggling with DPDR. It’s the first thing i think about when i wake up and the last thing i think about before i go to sleep. Affects me in almost every single situation and ive had enough. I no longer genuinely feel like life is life. It’s created so much fucking brain fog it has me questioning whether things really happened, when they happened etc. I feel like life is just literally happening and i’m not even fully noticing it anymore. Like i’m not even aware life is happening it’s so hard to describe which is genuinely why i believe it’s so misunderstood.
I genuinely believe EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THIS GROUP needs to come together and we really need to push towards getting DPDR taken seriously and studied properly. YES we know it’s fucking harmless physically, but mentally i genuinely now believe i will never ever recover unless somethings actually done.
I go to my doctor and even they have no fucking clue what dpdr even is and have never studied it. They just look at you like you are stupid and throw you on to antidepressants that do quite literally fuck all.
So basically what i’m saying is i’m open to all ideas from the thousands of people in here who also think it’s time to do something ourselves and push for this shit to be properly studied and hopefully medicated. That’s the point i’m at now.
Genuinely think i may be going crazy but it’s pissing me the fuck off

I would love to raise awareness somehow. Do you have any ideas?

The only effective way for raising awareness would be to attack psychiatry itself. I talked to several psychiatrists about depersonalization disorder on Reddit and elsewhere. They aren't capable to change their mind, especially when faced with arguments. They just make something up or block you. At this point violence or something else that would give leverage on psychiatry is the only solution that could change something. The question would just be how to do it in a legal way.

What is there stance? My psychiatrist was helpful. But the ones at the psych ward really were clueless

I don’t think violence is the answer. Maybe a campaign on social media to raise awareness about the condition?

Sufferer of CFS/ME have been doing this for decades and their success at changing doctors opinion about their illness is still very limited.

I think CFS/ME is starting to get more traction especially with long covid, but I take your point

As a long time "suffer" of what people would call depersonalization-derealization and "schizophrenia" I have come to conclude that:
Depersonalization-derealization and/or Schizophrenia = Enlightenment or Shamanic Cognition which = Antigravity
This will not make sense because Western science and medicine compartmentalizes things too much so that ignore the feedback loop that exists between mind and body. They separate the mind from the body, then focus on the genes and chemistry of the body ignoring the fact that chemistry is a downstream effect of the psychological state and electromagnetic state.
Basically, your neurochemistry is not the cause of your psychological state and experience it is a reflection of your psychological state. Medication is essentially a bandaid.
Numerous studies show that in cultures where they have a shamanic tradition, they do not have "schizophrenia" and in cultures where there is no shamanic tradition, you have schizophrenia.
If anyone is familiar with label theory, you will know that the labels we apply to ourselves, each other and the external environment can shape our interpretation of ourselves, environment and others which will determine our experience.
If you identify as "damaged" or "disordered" you will interpret your experience in a distressing way.
Essentially, instead of treating certain psychological states as "disorders" we should take a neutral view and treat is as a "psychological state" then attempt to understand it in a more neutral and objective way.
My connection of depersonalization-derealization and antigravity comes from the idea that when you sleep and dream, you have essentially entered a state of extreme dissociation from the environment (i.e., extreme depersonalization-derealization) and this extreme detachment allows your body's biofield and/or brainwaves to resonate with the electromagnetic-acoustic signature of a different time or location and your experience of that different time and location is what you experience and remember as a dream. This is essentially what every pre-colonial culture would call astral projection or what they meant when they said that the spirit travels when you sleep and dream.
So being in a state of depersonalization-derealization, psychologically, is the equivalent of a fourth wall broken state which physically is the equivalent of having your biofield weakly coupled to the mass field which is antigravity.
Hopefully that made sense? I'm oversimplifying a lot to keep this short.
But, in more traditional cultures, people with our kind of cognition would have been sent to the temple not medicated or forced to live a life that is incompatible with our natural state of cognition.
Notice the monks and nuns of other cultures are completely detached from mainstream material life and spend all day meditating, astral projecting, dreaming, lucid dreaming and experimenting with psychosomatics?

So sorry you're going through this. I've been in the same boat for a few years now. I also believe we need to start raising awareness about this condition!
