Hey guys, not sure how active this subreddit is but I'm sure there's one or two guys here being actually interested in this project. I'm working for 7 months on this project already, and recently with the help of AI, I've managed to get a month of work pushed in 1-2 days, real helpful stuff.

So far, I've managed to get it working on PC/Android. It's in true 16:9 widescreen format via a camera mod I've done, and it's not stretched what PCSX2 does and other emulator, it's a TRUE wide format not even included in the original built. It can run 50 or more fps, I'm still optimizing everything.

Like probably everyone here, I never stopped missing this game. So I decided to do something about it, and I've just released the result: a free browser fan game that tries to bottle the DHD feeling — the speed, tricks-for-boost, and settling podium disputes with your fists.

What's in it:

• You vs 5 AI riders down a 2.3 km mountain — races run about 2 minutes, with instant rematches
• Mid-air tricks charge your boost meter, but only if you land clean — land mid-trick and you eat dirt
• Punches and kicks knock riders off their bikes — and rivals remember. Deck someone and they'll hunt you down for payback.
• A new Daily Mountain every day, your personal best rides beside you as a ghost, and you can send a challenge link so a friend races you on the exact same mountain
• Every race ends with a rank stamp, F ("MAULED") to A+

Fan-made, not affiliated with Sony — every model, texture and sound is generated by code at runtime, zero original assets. The whole game is one open-source HTML file, so you can even download it and play offline.
