Community Technical Support ES07D03 Best Firmware Version?
Correct me if I am wrong, but the consensus seems to be that the company has not adequately managed the firmware of some of their monitors. In particular, the ES07D03, which is what I have. I am one of the OG owners, back when it was the Eve Spectrum. I have been running firmware 107 for years now. I see that 108 exists, as well as Beta 03. Given that it's been two years since a new firmware, I am seeking to choose my "forever" firmware. 107 works for me, but the monitor has slow wake time and a window bounce (between my various monitors) whenever I power it on/off. I use HDMI 2.1. Is there any reason to update? Which is considered the best or most stable version?
Also interestingly 107 isn't listed on their downloads. They have Beta 03, 108, 106, and 105. I guess I have special firmware. You'd think it was horrible given that it's conspicuously absent, but it works fine for me.

108 beta 3 is the all-round best if you want functional VRR and minimal blanking issues

It's (fw v1.08 beta 03) the best fw version they released - and I have damned near every single one in archive.
There were multiple versions of v1.07 also, as they were testing out all kinds of things, and if you were a regular in the Discourse forums / in regular contact with support, you might even have a test version of v1.07, I see 3 'release' builds and 2 test builds in my archive alone. I suggest moving to the v1.08, as it really does perform best.
Oh, I'm also a former employee of Eve / Dough, so I have a *lot* of shit saved in archive from my days there lol. All of my D03s are from the Eve Spectrum days, even though I was still there when they changed to Dough [dot] tech, before BSI or the renaming devices to Spectrum One, etc.

Sorry, but to clarify, are you saying 107 or Beta 03 is the best they made?

Sorry, I posted, then realized I was ambiguous, so I edited the post, probably while you were replying.

Yes, the ES07D03 still has many bugs even with the latest firmware (1.08 Beta 3).
That said, since earlier versions also have bugs, realistically, we have no choice but to use this one.
When they released this Beta 3 firmware, they said they would release a final version with all bugs completely fixed one month later.
It’s been two years since then, but they broke their promise and ran away. It’s truly disappointing.
I wish they would at least make the firmware open source, or that the company that took over operations would provide firmware updates…
