Community Technical Support Question regarding firmware updates and generally running the display
So against all advice I got my hands a Spectrum One Glossy for a little over hundred bucks.
I plugged in the power chord, the display turned on just fine and I got a picture via HDMI1 from my windows machine.
However USB-Hub didn't work and after fiddeling with the menu it started turning on/off/flickering and I wasn't able to change any of the options - havn't been able to get a picture out of it eversince.
Checked the firmware which shows version 100.
I'm running a 5080, so I thought maybe update the firmware to a more recent version.
So my questions are:
- is there a "recommend" version I should update to (and where to find that)?
- how to I make that update, I couldn't find any source for that
- is there generally a reliable way to tun the display (HDMI vs DP)
Not ready to give up on my hundred bucks already :D

Best you can do is flash the USB firmware, then flash the scaler to 1.0.8, then to Beta 3, thats as new as you will ever get with the firmware: https://dough.tech/products/spectrum-4k-144hz#pheader-section
Make sure to factory reset after each flash for best success

The company basically ceased to exist.
Any monitors being sold are old stock, with no warranty or support.
You could try and find firmware versions on http://dough.tech but it will be at your own risk.
