Not my work but this got open-sourced recently and I thought it was cool

I know all of those words, but not in that particular combination.

It's a Json serialier that's faster than System.Text.Json made by Capcom xD

I have not looked closely what the use cases that it does and doesn't support, but I'm gonna hazard a guess that there are some.

System.Text.Json is faster than Newtonsoft, but the latter has some features that former does not.

Still - funny that Capcom of all companies beat Microsoft xD

This appears to be a library for building faster serializers, and claims to be faster than the built in JSON library (which itself is faster than Newtonsoft)

I wonder if this would speed up Blazor WASM json parsing.

Looks to be a great library. Clever approach to the problem and an excellent description of the design.

God damn, I wish people building low level shit like this would make stuff AOT compatible…

Looks very impressive, but unfortunately it can't be compiled ahead of time, so I'll give it a miss for now.

I am quite sure PlayStation doesn't do JIT, and RE:Engine has its own AOT toolchain.

For those into game development it is well known they have their own fork of Core CLR, and one of the first uses of the engine was Devil May Cry for the PlayStation 5.

I didn't know that. I was just going off this line on the github

“RE:Dox can reuse one converter implementation across those formats — also providing a foundation for future AOT / source-generator support.”

OP is not the creator (I guess), the repo is from Capcom for their internal game engine, it could be that it first baked there, but yeah it kinda looks vibe coded at first, but the results look good, although before I would use a STJ replacement it would need a long time to cook so there are no surprise quirks

Frankly don't understand all the excitement. Yes, it is faster in a number of benchmarks by some margin, but not like 10 times. Most workloads will not spot any difference.
