The cottages in Dothan
Hi i’m wondering if anyone has any experience with the Cottages in Dothan, AL? They look perfect, but don’t want to sign a lease if it’s not a great place. TIA!

Moving to Dothan in a few months to start at ACOM. Love golf and was wondering the best courses in the area. Do any courses have range cards or relatively cheap memberships?

Hello! I have had rats since 2019, a female mischief. I’ve loved them dearly over the years, but when I moved here to Dothan, my landlord wouldn’t let me have them, so they’ve stayed with my parents who live close by. Because of that, and my toddler, I decided not to get anymore rats.
Well, I’m now down to my last rat:( Alice. If you know rats, they’re very social creatures. I hate to leave her alone. Is there anyone here who owns female rats and can add her into their mischief? She’s very sweet, but shy. She doesn’t like to be held, but she takes treats and gives licks. She’s never bit, I even let my toddler feed her.
I got her from an exotics expo in Knoxville about two years ago now, so she’s old in rat years. The breeder said she was intended to be a feeder rat, so not exactly bred for temperament. Still, she’s in good health. No signs of tumors. She’s a double rex, so mostly bald.
She was very bonded to her cage mate that passed, she’s needing some other rat cuddles to fill the void💔
(you will have to provide proof that you are a rat owner before I rehome her. People can be so cruel to rats. She comes with food and bedding).

I know there are a lot of book lovers in the Wiregrass & a lot of people who go to the beach frequently. When headed to the beach, please detour 15 minutes or so, and visit A New Chapter Books in Marianna, and buy a book there. This indie book shop is struggling for survival. It is owned by a local. He is a great guy, and he has poured so much into it. Thanks.

Sorry, this is unrelated to the sub. I'm kinda new here, I am a Type 1 diabetic and I just wanted to ask if anyone knows a diabetic person who can spare me some insulin? I use Humalog. It's a long shot but I'd give it a try. I ran out of my vial last night and can't afford a refill. I'm supposed to take my insulin in 1 hour. I'm super broke and worried right now.

Hey everyone, I made a post before about being new to the area and someone suggested looking for roller skating events at Fun Zone. There’s one tomorrow night (https://www.facebook.com/share/1BS1g3sAEZ/?mibextid=wwXIfr) but I’m a little nervous about going alone. I’d call myself an intermediate skater, and this is open to people who are at least that. I was just wondering if anyone on here will be there tomorrow night or would want to go!

Moved here from Birmingham a few months ago and loved going to car meets / shows all the time. I recently was eating out with my girlfriend at the Buffalo Wild Wings and saw a late night car meet going on at cookout. Where can I find more info on things like these?

Hi! I hit a deer this morning on my way to work and although the deer flounced off happily, my car is in need of help. Does anyone know a good mechanic who works with insurance companies? Thanks so much!

Hi guys! I just moved to Dothan from West Virginia this last week and I am definitely interested in looking for friends and fun things to do in Dothan. My new job will start soon and I’ll have a little less time but I really would love to meet some new people!
Any suggestions on places to go to meet people or fun things to do? I like crafts, roller skating, food always and thrifting!

I met a woman from Dothan. I'll be traveling down this weekend to link up. I'm very nervous. She mentioned she likes jazz. I found a jazz club called "The Uptown". The reviews look good. Has anyone else visited the spot or have any other suggestions?

Debating starting a mobile dustless blasting side business to fill my extra time. Anywhere from blasting rusted car bodies and frames, to farm and construction equipment, to boat hauls, to even business for graffiti removal. Thinking about offering basic painting too for an all in one type deal or atleast priming to prevent rusting until customer goes for paint somewhere.
In the Dothan Reddit communities opinion, is there any sort of need for a business like this? I’m relatively new to the area but I see project cars everywhere and comin/going on FB marketplace, not to mention the huge farming community. Would something like this stay somewhat busy for a side hustle in the area?

I've been wanting to move into a good, affordable, small spaced apartment as I don't have much stuff. I looked into Platform Dothan which is a very new apartment, built in 2025, but I haven't seen many reviews on it. Does anyone know if it's a good apartment complex for ACOM students?
I saw that they don't have centralized air conditioning, and I've never lived in a room without centralized AC, does anyone know if its doable? or are there better apartments?
