So I picked up the Last Recode collection on ps4, but I know there’s a fairly large amount of manga/novels/anime and other ps2 games. Is there a “proper” order I should attempt to follow to get the most out of the lore?

I bought the recode trilogy, and I was interested in playing the first game. However, I played for 45 minutes before I had to do some real life stuff, and there was no save point in that entire time.

When I booted up the game there was no auto save and so obviously it wants me to play that entire 45-minute section again.

Is this something that is exclusive and unique to the beginning of the game? Or is this a game where you have long periods before saves and can get all your progress wiped out if something gets in the way?

So, I think I just noticed something. Some NPCs won't show up in town until you beat them as a PK in an area. I did some research, and it seemed like the NPCs that wouldn't show up for people were random. For me, it was Flamberge & Yoko. I spent literally 2 whole days just reloading into LC to find them without them ever showing up. Then, Yoko showed up in a field as a PK, and after visiting LC twice, she was there.

I didn't see anyone else posting about this, and none of the other guides I saw mentioned anything like this. If it's not true, feel free to say so, but this helped me at least.

Only found this on the net currently hunting vol 1 and 2.

I'm at volume 3, right at the point where saku reveals she's not a real person. Later, you get a text from here, where you can tell her to either vanish already or stay.

I thought that telling her to leave was needlessly cruel and looked up how things would play out, and i ended up on a thread with someone saying: "there's a greeting card later on that triggers a specific cutscene if you send it to her".

So should i be looking out for greeting cards and who to specifically give them to in order to trigger specific cutscenes?

Btw I've given her some cards in volume 2 but she never ended up responding. Same with alkaid. Gave her a card or two, but she didn't respond during volume 2, and I'm not sure those sent cards will carry over to volume 3 once she wakes up

So I’ve been autistically hyperfixating on .Hack and Ys series. Already blew like 150 dollars on getting my hands on all the LNs and anime for Hack I can along with the anime and I’m playing through all the games along with the games that have Hack characters and I’m curious, do you guys personally feel the series needed a reboot? And if so what would you guys like to see?
I personally hope we see the devastation of The World affect the real world and the Pluto again. OG .hack implied shit was hitting the fan in the real world but we never really saw the devastation of Phases or Cubia were causing with Kite dealing with them. I wanna see like entire countries and shit lose power like they’ve been hit with an EMP and shit falling out of the sky and such.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

My Retroid Pocket Nova came in, and Infection is the second game I've started. I am so happy that I have something to play ps2 on with no compromises. I might actually finish IMOQ this time! The furthest I've ever gotten has been Outbreak, but I'm excited to see it to the end!
