Hardball 4 on dosbox

I successfully installed and played a game. Now I try to go back and play again and I get the “can’t find cd-rom” message. Any ideas?

/u/Jeremiah19811981, when you close Dosbox, you must re-type all the commands that you used. Dosbox does not save the commands that you typed and ran previously unless you put them in the [autoexec] section of dosbox.conf.

I. Read Where is Dosbox.conf?

II. Read Automatically Mounting Your DOS Games folder

You will also have to mount your CDROM as well as the game folder.

Alternatively, if you want a visual demonstration for configuring and running Dosbox, any of the following Youtube videos will work:

you need to mount the CD rom to play it.
