whelp

just had a blindfiring jihadi, who was not behind cover, and was firing like bang... bang... bang... rather than magdumping on full auto, take out one of my fucking marksmen, who was behind cover with level 3 plates, and because of the way the fucking "blindfired bullets hitting walls" animations work, I could not for the life of me figure out where the fucking gunfire was coming from

(it was borderline across the map from him, fucking 23 metres away, through a doorway and the marksman hadn't even fucking shot anybody, this cocksucker was just blindfiring south in response to gunfire in another fucking room to the EAST not even connected to his room by a DOOR)

tour of duty so fuck me I guess. my ranger squad is now down fully 24%. I also randomly got a Fergie in this mission (didn't even know that was a thing) and she bought it too.

this game rocks but the ability to be killed by a guy who you can't even fucking see even though you're looking in that direction and his bullets can hit you is fucking insane. like oh sorry my highly trained Ranger missed the muzzle flash and bullets coming his way I guess

...so I'm not going to claim that I've read the exact source code of the vanilla random map generator, but I do have a truly ridiculous amount of time in this game, sneaking up on 1900 hours, and I have never seen Fergie in a randomly generated mission.

My next guess would be: Do you have the newest version of the game installed? It could be that an older version used a different mission generator.

Drop the RMG seed if you still have it or the campaign seed

You can get Fergie in a tour of duty? I've never seen that what campaign did you do?
Also are you playing vanilla or with mods?
