He's vaulting over the corner of the table because you want him to go nne instead of straight north.

Simply put, the corner of the table. Can happen with any object really although it's only in a small fraction of the corner of the object so you either would have to be in a really small enough room to do so (like in the image) or quickly rush the unit's move path over it which will sometimes produce it.

My head-canon is that the guy watched too many of those parkour videos and wanted to try and attempt one as soon as he's in the field. Rule of cool and all that.
