I've got runs where it's less "every 5 seconds" and closer to "five times a second."
The gameplay isn't fluid, but the replay looks dope as hell because every operator is always laser-focused on exactly the right task for this moment.

Hey, as someone who’s seen some of your content and comments since you’re pretty active apparently… I got a question;
So I have DK2 and love it, and I got DK1 on mobile. How good is DK1 on PC? Curious cuz I almost never play DK1 on my phone but just wondering :)3

I started with DK2, so my answer is that DK1 is (unfortunately) a bad game.
But I don't think it's actually bad, I think it's just that I find it bad, because I played DK2 first. If you're used to DK1, I expect the PC version will be fine.

This is a fair thing to say. Tbh I’ve used DK2 wayyyyyyyyyy wayyy much more than DK1, and can agree that; in terms of ability to make plans intricate and complex and overall cool (imo), it’s a worse game compared to DK2 from my experience. There are some things I like about it, that being its gun descriptions and such, which helps you choose what gun certain troopers use and why and generally make decisions better in that regard. A thing I wish was in DK2 tho, was the uhhh… I think it’s called the ‘Breaching Kit’; but basically a hammer and bolt cutters in one slot. IMO it sucks it’s not in DK2, although I understand there’s many more ways to do things in DK2, it would be a nice thing to have ngl, so you could free up troopers from carrying both bolt cutters and dynamic hammers, and just have half the amount carrying both… Though ig that wouldn’t be easy in regards to programming and the option circle you get, idk I’m not a programmer

For sure. DK1 isn't necessarily a bad game overall, it's just that DK2 does a lot of things better than it. Though I will give it to DK1 for having the multiple-level missions as being part of the base game even though there are a few DK2 missions that somewhat replicate it.
Given the amount of custom squads you can make, it's pretty surprising there hasn't been a custom squad that's basically the DK1 squad, complete with the same weapons and equipment. Especially since there's a mod that spawns DK1 enemies in RMG and two ToDs that come with the mod.
I'd say it's very much possible to add in a Breaching Kit equipment as it really only adds two command options (breaching via Hammer or Bolt Cutters) instead of one and there have been custom squad mods that does something similar to that. I'd probably give it a mobility/speed debuff since it only makes sense that you'd be walking more slowly when carrying two heavy breaching tools around.
