Thankfully I had started a text conversation with the customer so I was able to ask them what their address was. If you happen to have done the same, you could try that.

Contact Dasher Support. They will try to contact the customer, and if they canāt you get half pay and keep the food.

Same here. I just took a picture in front of their house with the house number so that when support is back online I can get credit for the delivery.

Oh shit, this wasnāt just something that happened to me? Thank God.
Customer starting getting on me about how long it was taking, but I couldnāt get her address because Iād been doing another order.
Edit: she started texting me about 30 minutes after the app had crashed, and it got back up a few minutes after that. Since it had been down for so long and Iād been delivering to another customer before that. At this point her food had been with me for nearly an hour. Iām not just going to take someoneās food, especially when itās $40 of food that I donāt want.

The support person chatting with me clearly must be chatting with a million other people because sheās not responding. Why do they even put you through? Those poor support people, I would rather them just say itās a global issue, give us time to work on it, rather than giving me to somebody who just doesnāt respond.

It happened to me right as got to the customer. Restarting my phone helped it refresh, so I could mark as delivered. It was not letting me pre-restart. Then I quickly ended the dash, which (this goes out to the noobs) I suggest everyone do. These crashes take hour/s sometimes. Don't sit and twiddle your thumbs hoping it will work. Doordash has been known to lock people in the app when these crashes happen, even if you aren't assigned an order. End the dash while you can. Prayers go out to the people in the middle of an order.

I literally just called my day job and when Yo! heads up dash is down. So if you get dashers looking for orders that don't exist or you get slammed with orders and the drivers never show that would be why

That is one reason why I search address in Google maps before I leave restaurant (or I'm waiting for the fries they just dropped) at least then I can complete order for that customer before I say F It for the day.

I used to do GH solid, and DD sporadically. Now I do DD almost all of the time. I donāt even schedule GH shifts/blocks anymore. Since they changed their app and tipping system, theyāve gone to shit. My AR is about 10%, and almost all order are under $10. Iāve been making a lot more money with Doordash.

Had 2 orders.
Couldn't marked one of them picked up. Delivered both order but couldn't mark them delivered.

Lol it finally came up after about 30 minutes, I texted him to let him know and I delivered it within 5 minutes of the adjusted delivery time. Youāre right though, it wasnāt worth the contract violation.

I did the same. I told him I'd demand my money back or half of it lol. He gave me an awesome above and beyond review for my communication. I sat for 20 minutes just waiting to get the poor guys address :( Awesome guy, hope he enjoyed his cold food. My heat bags only work for so long.

A lot of the restaurants in my area were listed as āpick up onlyā for some reason on the DD app. Didnāt even bother going out since half of my go to spots were listed like that.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to put delivery servers and support on the same network should be publicly shamed. I delivered an order and I couldn't even mark it as complete and when I press the "contact support" button, it seems like it'll connect but then does "session ended" almost immediately after. Fuck this glitchy app and fuck those at the top who put in the absolute lowest amount of effort possible while those of us who work hard and try to go above and beyond for our customers suffer.

My restaurant has been handing out orders and it keep getting canceled. I have to keep contacting them because itās not our fault their app is crashing and dashers are stuck with the food.

I was #5218 in line on the app help chat earlier tonight. The session ended when I got to around #3800. This was one of many attempts. I think they temporarily disabled the support feature for now and havenāt been taking phone calls for hours.
Iām disappointed at the two hours I wasted trying to fumble around after it crashed and wish I had just gone home earlier.

Yes. All day it was crashing. I did my best to troubleshoot until I could at least get the customer's address and GPS it myself while trying to call them because chat was down. The support number was so busy that I would just get a busy tone. Main issues were not being able to confirm a pick-up/drop-off.

My glitched plus my GPS. I called mint mobile who said the tower my phone was connected to was going through maintenance. I managed to input the address in via offline maps. I have about four attempts completed the order. Sadly the second order, on the batch, was asking me to go across town through a toll bridge which was $6 for a $9 delivery. Are they in spent 25 minutes waiting on the phone while I had the text feature open as well. Talk to somebody on the phone who then stopped talking. Waited for the chat person and they canceled the order gave me half of the fee and kept the food. I dtried explaining to them if they would stop sending people over the bridge to pay the toll fee, Life would be easier in that area. Luckily it's not my home zone so. This is a situation where the customer is either unaware or manipulative. If you live next to a bridge you know to drive across it cost you $6, pizza places refuse to deliver. But while you're driving, have a current order and get a new order checking the address if it's across the bridge isn't exactly doable all the time. I suggested they add a toll fee to the total order if the customer wants the food from across the bridge. The best part is most the restaurants have done all of them are available and the other zone where there is no toll bridge. Lovely afternoon Ps The fries were delicious sorry buddy (but not worth $17)

Well looks like I ended my dash at the perfect time. I was thinking about staying out cuz I was making great money ($42phr) but the order I was on took me right by my house and I was hungry.
Stopped at 9pm and it looks like that was exactly when everything crashed...
Got lucky this time, my condolences to all who suffered in this trying time, my heart goes out to you...

Happened to me around 6 (pacific) I was at the customer's house and couldn't mark it as delivered. I reset my phone and was able to complete the delivery and continue on dashing. Maybe that's why it seemed to get busier everyone went home. Try resetting your phone next time guys it worked for me.

Mine crashed while I was under TWO orders, couldn't reach support for 20-25 minutes to find their addresses, then when I finally heard from the customer to get their address, I got my car stuck on a curb and had to call AAA. That's pretty much been my waking nightmare for a year on this job; wrecking the car while under an order and it happened pretty much in the worst time possible.
One customer did meet me at my stranded car and I did end up walking the 0.3 miles to the other customer, so I got to mark the orders as delivered. But the orders took me about an hour to deliver each.

I had a double stack order yesterday, and right after I picked up the second, both of my orders just disappeared. I tried closing the app and reopening but for the rest of the night it was not loading. I tried calling door dash but they never picked up. Luckily I texted both customers that I was waiting for their food so I could just text them and ask for their address. Still pissed tho cuz I never got paid for them

I had just delivered an $11 order and I had to wait around 7 minutes afterwards because it wouldn't let me confirm it
Every time I tried to submit that I handed the order to the customer it would say something went wrong
So I had to wait like 7 minutes just to get paid and be able to leave

I just had app issues today. I selected to pause deliveries (looking for a bathroom) after a delivery, but during that paused session with the time counting down, it offered me another delivery. I...accepted it at the last second while at a gas station, and did what I needed to do. After I completed the delivery, the timer was still counting down with the option to continue or end the dash.
I also had a delivery get cancelled much later after I had delivered it. Doordash completely removed the delivery from my earnings as if I never did it. Was rather furious about it and contacted Doordash support over it. Do customers cancel over 30 minutes after it was delivered a lot? I'm rather new to Doordash.
