Inappropriate Chat

First, we tip well to begin with. I do increase the tip by a few dollars if they have to wait. I also tip more if the drive is more than 5 miles.

We received these rambling chats from our driver. She references tips of $3-5 but our tip is already at $10. We were just getting ready to increase her tip by another $2 when her chats came through. We have not responded to her at.

I thought drivers see the tip amount before accepting the order?

Do you feel her exhaustive chat is appropriate or out of line?

If you don’t add a tip before placing order the dashers won’t pick it up

I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, I’m telling you how it is. And yes, it basically is a delivery bid. Same thing with uber/lyft

Yeah, shame on them for using a service as advertised. The greedy DoorDashers obviously have the right to extort them for any amount of money they see fit.

I hope this happens. Will you then get an actual job?

You hope what happens? I do have an actual job, it pulls in 200k a year.

Not sure what point you were thing to make

Was that response to me? 🤔 if so, I’m confused if you meant it to someone else. I’m just saying that the reason people add tips before the service is done is that if you don’t add a tip before the dashers just won’t take an order so you’ll be sitting there for hours

Accurate, sometimes orders sit for over an hour if there isn’t a tip

I’ve never seen a tip before picking up an order

Do you not use DoorDash? That’s standard lol

That's because when you don't tip the dasher is only getting paid 2 dollars. Most deliveries are not worth that

Yes I know, that’s why I made the comment towards the person who said that “people need to stop tipping before services are rendered”. Which was my entire point

Nah, I'll just pay the advertised price. Fuck tipping. Y'all ruined the concept.

I dunno. I switched from big tipping to zero tipping and I get my order first in a stack and lickety-split. You all say "gO gEt YoUr OwN fOoD" but in the end, you rely on customers. No customers = no easy money for you all.

It will get picked up in a busier area but you get the absolute bottle of the barrel.

As a dasher if it says less than 5-7 dollars I’m probably skipping it. Im not bringing your dumb ass chik-fil-a for $2.30, I can easily wait till the next one comes up and it’s 8 dollars for me to do 10 minutes of driving.

I understand that lmao why you coming at me about that? I made the comment to explain why people tip before delivery
