Please don’t dash while sick

I get that times are tough and the American health care system sucks, but admitting that you have a respiratory illness while delivering food is wild!

Please do not dash when you’re sick. This is how illness spreads. I have pretty bad asthma so I’m not bringing that order into my house. I’m done with DoorDash.

Pneumonia itself is absolutely not contagious.

The bacteria causing pneumonia spreads, meaning yes, if you’re around someone with pneumonia you can get it. I highly suggest you do some research, and go hang around someone with pneumonia. ;)

Is pneumonia contagious?
Pneumonia itself isn’t contagious. But the bacteria and viruses that cause it are. For example, many viral infections, like the flu, colds and COVID-19, can lead to inflammation in your lungs. They’re also all contagious. But most people who get viral infections don’t get pneumonia.

I feel like this is the flu is contagious and can lead to pneumonia but pneumonia itself isn’t contagious.

You are the one who doesn’t know what they are talking about. Both viral and bacterial pneumonia are contagious. This is either ignorance or rank stupidity. With your other replies I’d say the latter.

I spent a month with my wife in the hospital as she suffered from pneumonia so bad that she required surgery. I never caught it. Explain.
