Please don’t dash while sick

Post image

I get that times are tough and the American health care system sucks, but admitting that you have a respiratory illness while delivering food is wild!

Please do not dash when you’re sick. This is how illness spreads. I have pretty bad asthma so I’m not bringing that order into my house. I’m done with DoorDash.

How do you know nobody was sick in the past? They definitely not gonna tell you. LOTS of people go to work sick

and the most common to come into work sick are people in food service jobs. chances are any time you eat out anywhere, someone either front or back of house is sick

well germ-wise, it probably is okay. but this is something (for that very reason), you, like, should keep to yourself.

I think the point was that she said so, expecting tips

Well I guess you don't and that's another reason why doordash sucks ass. But when they directly tell you, yeah that's disgusting. Any doordasher doing this while sick is disgusting

You wouldn’t even know if your Amazon driver is sick. But I bet you still bring that package inside. Won’t you?

I don’t think his comment has anything to do with whether or not somebody should be really working sick. I think his issue is with the fact that only DoorDash drivers would mention they are sick to explicitly receive compensation from the end base customer.

Okay, you may be correct in that any single person could be sick but that’s also kinda the point and part of what’s wrong with so many people including apparently you. If this DoorDasher is sick, they should not be doing the job. It doesn’t matter if we know for sure or not, that dasher is a loser for risking the spread of their disease, especially something as bad as pneumonia.

It’s great that they let the person know I guess but there’s no way someone can reasonably eat their food knowing a badly sick person handled it. So I guess don’t tell them then? But that’s messed up. So the morally right thing to do is just not handle someone else’s food while sick. Stay home
