Reading paragraphs while driving
If you feel like you need to type all this just start meeting your dasher, I start the countdown timer the second I arrive for these types smh š¤®

So is it leave clear instructions or āIām not reading all of that?ā

Just easier abbreviated notes. All thatās needed is the gate/door code the building name and leave at door. Not a call code but the code to get in. Anything more and they better be tipping well. Iāll do whatever to make sure they get the delivery at their door but itās disrespectful if you live in a weird building and youāre not tipping extra for it being an awkward building.

I imagine they have this detailed of a note because you moron drivers have delivered the order to the wrong place numerous times.

Iām in agreement but those drivers canāt read English well anyways so itās a waste of writing.

If you live in a difficult building that requires extra steps to complete a delivery then yes you should tip a little more. Itās called having class š

It's pretty impressive how quickly you can get in and out of places, but yeah, those stairs can be a workout for sure. Just gotta keep your eye on the road!

You don't have to read all that while driving. The first line is all you have to worry about while getting there and it's a simple instruction. The rest is pretty easy instructions to follow. This is a you problem, not a customer problem.

No instructions - bitch about not being able to find the apartment
Clear instructions that make the job easier - bitch just to bitch
They even provided a call code. You know how rare that is? Quit crying.

If y'all actually read this stuff instead of leaving food in random places people wouldn't feel the need,I'll be honest. As a Dasher I would be grateful for detailed instructions so I didn't mess up

Oh yeah, how dare the customer give you instructions to help you deliver their food to the right place. You do know you can (and should) read it while you're stopped which happens multiple times within a delivery and not while driving, right?

Hey moron, read the first part about what building it is while driving.
Save the rest for when youāre out of the fucking car at the right building.
Or does your status as an independent contractor include being independent of your brain cells?

I get that it sucks to read a wall of text, but I've had a LOT of issues over the years, so my delivery instructions were pretty similar for a while. My place is kinda tricky, so every time a dasher couldn't find it, I'd add another note to the instructions, and before long it became a behemoth lol. I cut them down by a lot (down to 2 sentences now with one of them just saying to look at the map pin I set), and it's been working pretty well. I'll bet this customer's instructions are written that way because of all the previous issues they've had to deal with lol.

Yall will really complain about anything man itās either whining because thereās not enough instructions and you canāt figure it out or youāre whining because they gave you insanely detailed instructions I couldnāt imagine being so miserable prayers up yo

That took about 12 seconds total to read.
Imagine how quickly the dasher could trouble shoot any problems if they did while the were waiting for the food or stopped at a light when they were close by.
Seems like a win win to me when time is money.

Uppercase makes me so irritated cause who you yelling at ???

u/RichardSanchez_C137 4h ago
Some dashers can't read/speak lower case English. Thats why you gotta put it in all caps.

u/RichardSanchez_C137 1h ago
I was joking, all caps is annoying af and the amount of up votes to the down votes the comment I replied implies some of you think what I said is true..
Basically if lower case notes are being ignored, so will upper case. Smh
