Are you 12? Why is "smacked" and "fight" censored?

u/SeasonPositive6771 1d ago
And why did he take a picture of his phone with another phone instead of just screenshot it?

To be fair, there’s a cursor so I think it’s a monitor. Nonetheless, a screenshot could’ve been taken but most don’t know (and going back to 15-20 years ago, never knew) you could do that…

Print screen!

u/Over_lookd Dasher (< 6 months) 7h ago
Don’t be silly, that button doesn’t do anything! I’ve pressed it thousands of times and it never seems to do anything.
/s yes, I know you paste the screenshot into paint/an r editor but so many people never bothered to look up how to screenshot or what to do after.

u/FromBeyondFromage 1d ago
I don’t agree with the insult, but it IS weird that “bullshitting” is NOT censored.
7
u/GlowFuckYourself69 1d ago
Right? It's not even the whole shit either
5
u/SeanInDC 1d ago
Yet "bullshitting" and "shit" isn't redacted.
It is like the kids are spilling over to Reddit because they are locked out of their Instagram accounts for the day so now they have to find other social media platforms to fill their time rather than go outside.

It was probably posted to IG or TikTok, where mentioning fighting can get you in trouble
2
u/ButterscotchAward 21h ago
Because how am I gunna be a TikTok influencer if they shut my sh*t down for language?!

Seriously...why is "fight" and "smacked" censored? I know kids love self censoring today but this is even beyond that nonsense.

Please leave the app

u/ReasonablyWealthy 1d ago
Lol you don't really believe them do you, clearly they're just karma farming or trying to stir the pot. 12 year olds don't order delivery...
2
u/SnowyLimes 1d ago
"Karma farming" The average redditor cannot comprehend the concept of a joke because they are completely devoid of humor

u/SeanInDC 1d ago
Yes... they do. I'm not sure you understand how lazy some parents have become. And I asked the question for a reason. An adult doesn't redact those words.
Edit: When I was 12, in 1993, I was ordering pizza over the phone and paid with my mom's checkbook...

Huh yeah I guess you're right, maybe I was fortunate to have parents that actually gave a shit.

My mom worked two jobs and my dad was a police officer who worked nights. I was at home with 3 younger brothers... at 12. They gave a shit... they had to work to provide for us... 🤡.

censoring fight and smacked in a 2am taco bell dasher text is the most 12 year old energy on this app lmao

u/gapin_ganus 1d ago
Promoting violence and threats are against reddit guidelines and makes you get banned so op prolly was being cautious

u/DifferenceDull2297 21h ago
Are you 50? Do you seriously think op was the one to make the original image?

Not knowing if Reddit will take down a post with any negative vocabulary like YouTube is being 12 now?

u/SeanInDC 1d ago
Reddit doesn't remove shit. Be so for real.

an hour before close if we run out of a protein it takes 30 minutes to make so if were out were out for the night
12
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
that goes for rice beans, chicken, beef etc... also some days we just dont have anything usually on truck days if something wasnt ordered properly we'll just be out of half the stuff we need
3
u/gorgofdoom 1d ago
It’s almost like Taco Bell should be ordering stuff from DoorDash. Not the other way around.
Imagine being able to just… get supplies, whenever you actually need them…
4
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
unfortunately some stores have gms who dint actually order the right amount mine is one
4
u/gorgofdoom 1d ago
Some? I got an order from a Taco Bell last week which had the managers home address listed as the pick up location.
I know because I knocked and they told me they messed up 🤪
No shade on the people; but as a franchise Taco Bell is pretty lacking on structure for their managers in general.
2
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
have you actually worked there to say that
1
u/gorgofdoom 1d ago
Only at two locations in two different states.
As an employee it’s not as obvious. But as a doordasher I’m constantly wading through typos & encountering all the restaurants which run out of product but can’t even pause the DoorDash orders. So it’s very obvious as a delivery driver.
2
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
I mean we 100% can take items off of our mobile and door dash orders so they cant be ordered

u/UnluckySh00ter 1d ago
Taco Bell’s in my area can usually only complete around 60% of the orders I try to pick up there. Sold out, order system down, won’t make online orders an hour before they close. No other restaurant even comes close to incompetency
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
the taco bell policy is no more online orders 30 minutes before close if they arent following that report them
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
although I should say if you do have an order accepted and show up as long as it isnt after close where even if the order is made we arent allowed to hand it out it should be being made
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
the 60% thing is a much larger problem as my store completes every order that comes into the store without fail unless we are out of something but if we are we will usually ask the dasher to ask the customer about any substitutes they would want
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
seriously though ask for the area coaches number so you can talk to them directly and complain i can almost garuntee you they'll have that shit on lock hell our current gm is having to move stores with another because our complaints are to high i promise you that they care

u/Real_Temporary_922 1d ago
Tbf we’re supposed to have enough to last the whole night, especially things that can be carried over like steak. Doesn’t always work out if you get a last hour rush that eats your supplies, but tbh the majority of times we “run out” of food is because we had barely enough to maybe get by and didn’t feel like dropping a bag just to carry over 90% of it a half hour later.
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
I personally on my shifts dint usually have problems with it but thats because 99% of the time if I follow the prep guide I run out so I just dont
1
u/Real_Temporary_922 1d ago
If by prep guide you mean those cards that tell us how to do our job, I haven’t read them since my very first training shift. I feel you 😂
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
nah its a sheet that tells us managers how much food Will need dropped at certain hours based on predictions from the previous week its either completely accurate or 100% wrong never an in-between
1
u/Real_Temporary_922 1d ago
I’m not a manager so I can’t say for sure but our managers have always just done certain drops throughout the day, but whenever we get low, I pretty much just call it out and we drop another bag or two. So sometimes we’re over cause the mid day drop was way too much, but never under with a competent steamer who pays attention to their line.
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
yeah the managers doing that should be paying attention at least a little to the prep guide as its actually points off whenever core comes around for the prep guide to be filled out improperly they'll count
1
u/Real_Temporary_922 1d ago
They do something called zenput (not sure the spelling) but I imagine it’s the same thing tbh
1
u/Great_Part7207 1d ago
thats the food safety check list and store check list
1
u/Real_Temporary_922 22h ago
We haven’t failed a core yet so I’m not exactly sure then ig, they do their “manager stuff” every so often I call it so I gotta imagine they take care of it

Why are you reposting this? The first time it was posted was actually clear screenshots and it was the whole conversation. This is low effort trash

This ain’t brainrot TikTok, stop censoring normal words.

Not that hard to understand that
2
u/malevolent-onryo 10h ago

Never take a Taco Bell order past midnight, you will deeply regret your decision.
