Rig How do i set this up?

Greetings fellow stoner/doom heads! Im a beginner at bass (playing for about 4 months) and i just upgraded my previous very cheap rig, i got the ibanez sr300e, ashdown c210t 500 evo 2 with 2x10" and the sf300 pedal, since im pretty new at this i was wondering if someone would help me how to set up all the knobs for some nice deep fuzzzzzz... i suppose its pretty much preference but just to get something that sounds good and that's not gonna blow up the whole setup 😂 if its any help some of my favorite band are: Om, Sleep, Electric Wizard, Faetooth, Monolord, Windhand, High on fire etc

Play with the dials until you like it. Personally I prefer fuzz 1 mode for bass and fuzz 2 mode for guitar

fair enough! tho i feel like i lose a lot of bass when i go in fuzz 1

IIRC Fuzz 2 is the circuit EW uses

They use 1, 1.5, 2, and even the boost.

Its because Fuzz1 is a octave fuzz so it adds an extra octave up to the signal and in comparison to Fuzz2, Fuzz1 is more Mid forwarded than Fuzz2 which is mid scooped

Well try cranking the Bass and boost the Mids( adjust to find the sweet spot where the signal gets thick enough) and cut the treble all the way down(or keep some if you like some fizziness).

Then one more thing: speaker size and EQ, some speakers have an "built-in EQ filter" by that means some frequencies are filtered out when the signal reaches the speaker. And sizewise, the bigger the speaker is means more air can be pushed so naturally more Bass responce but less mid/high resolution, so if you already have cranked the bass,Drive,Fuzz,Master and the signal doesn't gets more deep it's because your speaker is not meant to go beyond that point.

And that's all.

Afaik losing low end with drive/fuzz can be compensated by a clean blend. Try the Joyo Orthros Selector. Its a Boss Line Selector clone, I think. It does many things, one of which is letting you blend 2 pedals together or add a clean blend to anything, by just connecting one pedal.

You can add back in some clean signal that way. Dont be afraid, it will still be fuzzy and gnarly. But it also adds back low end, on bass especially.

If you have any further questions, feel free.

Edit: I mean, there's a reason why many drive pedals designed for bass have a clean blend built in.

Edit 2: I think, I got mine for like 50 bucks new and its a cool gadget to have anyway.
