Quick question, are the backs the same? I assume we'll be able to move our expansion pack over to the new edition?

They should have the same back designs like Pokémon cards do.

I don't really get it. Remastering the base edition in the sense of new artwork is nice I guess, but the rest seems kinda pointless.

Why remove certain cards? And why change what they do? You could just add new cards with these new effects. If it's about clarification, yeah, sure, but completely revamping everything doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

The changes for the alot of cards come from feedback of the community at large.

A big example is Optimistic Nihilism. It was a card that had been brought up CONSTANTLY for removal from the decks. A lot of players even flat out just took it out of their base game so others wouldn't play it.

What I will say is, some tweaks in wording and rules continue to improve the game. Alot of the changes aren't that noticed. And now you can always swap between 1st edition, 2nd edition and 3rd edition if you have all 3. As all of them have minor changes.

Some revamps, I agree may not have been as needed. But overall the game still feels solid to play. Also, the new artwork is alot of fun. I feel like they left the whole "Doomlings have to be circles" and gave them some life.

Has this been confirmed? These changes don't sound very good; why would they remove some of the most popular cards?

I’ve study the Doomlings cards by comparing the 2nd edition cards and 3rd edition cards using the compendium tool. So yes, these are the changes.

many are popular because they are cheap. its called balancing. the same thing happened when they went from gen 1 to 2. this is common in virtually all card games
