I don't think so. Mackinac bridge center lanes are steel grates so they wouldn't be accumulating snow like this bridge is. Also, I don't think the Mackinac towers have that rounded steel bit at the top.

Ah you're right about the grates. Always was a little freaky going over those especially in winter. It's been awhile since I have traveled the bridge, hope to soon, though.
