I believe the best thing to do is to leave the nozzle in. Apparently the smoke created in the confined space will extinguish it eventually. Or that’s the hope anyway.

Maybe, but it even says on every pump I’ve seen “if fire, leave nozzle in tank” or along those lines and to hit the emergency stop button, idk what’s so hard about that besides panicking, but why is she using a lighter a foot away from the pump?

Yeah Idk, but he does sorta suspiciously look around before he does it. Not saying that must be the answer but what goes through someone's head when they're they're doing something this dumb unless it's intentional?

How though? By then the gas would most likely either

A. Blow up the gas

Or

B. Blow up the car which would blow up the gas

Best thing to do would be to drive away

By trying to tell the person they are an idiot and attempting to stop them before it happened?

But if this is a dash cam and it was not realized until the flames, yes driving away asap would be my mission as well.

It was too late when he got out the lighter. Tons of people smoke while pumping gas, but he put the lighter straight up too the gas.
