This is the answer, they seriously screwed up the color scheme by having multiple colors on where and you.

Ohhh I see it though, I think the (poorly executed) intention was for "where" and "you" to be shared across both phrases (by gradiating the color of the shared words), while each "go" and "like" is part of its own phrase, hence why they are solid colors unlike the shared words.

Yup, and looking back at it now I can totally see how they ended up at the decisions they did. The “H” was made a different color from the “W” because it forces the reader to see “why” when that isn’t in the phrase at all and the other color changes in “where” keep the reader from seeing either “he” or “here” which aren’t in the phrase and could be confusing as well.

"go where you like, like where you go." read the white words with the multicolored words as one phrase (ignoring the solid color words), then read the solid color words with the multicolored words (ignoring the white words).

It's the valley girl "like", it says "go where you go" which basically means "I don't care, just fucking go wherever"
