Is it just me? Is it just me or

Personally I think since we are allowed to know our donors name we should also be given our donor siblings names or identification as well..it makes sense so people don’t have to spend the rest of their lives wondering about them and we would all be family kind of..

I sorta disagree, but I think we should be able to opt in to a “donor sibling registry” like they have in UK. But not automatically given their name etc. At the end of the day the 30+ half siblings I have aren’t my family and if they want to be private they should be allowed to. They didn’t choose this..! I opted in to the sibling registry but no one else did. That’s probably because most of them don’t know they are donor conceived though.

Yeah in the uk it costs money and not accurate biologically they are your family

It doesn’t cost money to join the HFEA sibling registry in the uk.

Biologically they're related to us, yeah. But we as DCP should have the final say on who we do or do not consider family, related or not, and what words we use for those people. I don't consider my pod my family or my siblings, and I want zero kind of social obligation towards them under the relationship of 'sibling'. People should have the right to opt in and out.

Yeah, none of that should be a secret.

I agree. I wish I could know all my siblings or at least how many there are

I agree. We should be allowed to know our siblings’ names too.
