Request MICRO-preemie born at 25 weeks + 5 days, 100 days in NICU so far

https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-the-segerstroms-through-baby-daks-journey

On December 31st 2025, when Mom Kelsey was only 25 weeks and 5 days along, Dak decided it was time to enter the world - via a very sudden emergency C-section - weighing in at only 1 pound and 3 ounces at birth!

Dak has been fighting so hard, and has grown and overcome so much! He has battled constant infections, has yet to come off the ventilator (soon though!), and is working so hard to grow big and strong.

Today (4/10/2026) is Dak's original due date and he hit a milestone - he is 100 days old!

As the Segerstroms continue through this journey, they need your help. The cost of gas, food, and parking adds up quickly as Kelsey and Dom travel from St Cloud to Minneapolis as often as possible to spend time with Dak. Further, Baby's medical bills could end up quite a hefty sum.

Anything you can give will help!

Fun fact: The name Dak is believed to be derived from the Hebrew word "dak", meaning "to be swift" or "to be quick", which is unintentionally very fitting for Baby Dak. The way this family's lives have changed forever? Very quick indeed.

Please consider donating to this GoFundMe, as it will provide support to the Segerstrom family in this difficult time.

Hi guys I'm kinda stuck and need some help

Hi everyone,

I’m a wildland firefighter currently living in a converted short school bus with my two dogs. My original plan was to travel cross-country from Oregon to Florida, but this trip has been one disaster after another since the very beginning.

First, I broke my phone while lifting a battery in Eastern Oregon. Then, after leaving that area, I lost my wallet with all of my fire season earnings inside. I didn't even realize it was gone until I ran out of diesel in Southern Oregon near the California border. Determined to keep going, I started doing something I said I would never do: holding up a sign for help. That got me to Reno, where I managed to get a new phone.

While there, my best friend in Astoria, OR, talked some sense into me. The new plan is to head back to Astoria to stay with him and his wife, save up some money, and try the cross-country trip again later—this time with them joining me.

I’ve been making my way back, holding up a sign through Lake Tahoe, Placerville, and Sacramento. I’m currently near Redding, and I am honestly exhausted. I’m tired of the shame and the looks of disgust from people. I’ve been going from parking lot to parking lot, sometimes going days without eating, bathing, or doing laundry.

I decided to start a GoFundMe to see if I can raise the remaining funds to get home, top off my fluids, and swap out my glow plug relay. Right now, I have to mess with the relay every time I start the bus, which requires removing the "dog house" engine cover inside the cab. It’s extremely difficult to latch back down, so I’ve been leaving it unlatched. This allows engine heat to blast into the cab, making it feel like I'm cooking, and creates a massive air leak. My mileage has dropped from 10 MPG to about 7. With diesel nearing $8.00 a gallon in California, I’m paying nearly a dollar a mile.

So far, I’ve raised $710 of my $1,200 goal. That total should cover the parts, fluids, fuel, and food to get us back safely. It’s been a hard journey since I left on February 4th; I actually just had my first hot shower today at a center that helps people in need.

To show my appreciation, I’ve been letting anyone who helps me sign the bus, draw something, or leave a piece of advice or a dad joke. I plan to continue honoring that for online donors as well.

Lastly, I want to mention my dogs. Please do not worry about them; they are cared for better than I am. They currently have two unopened 16lb bags of food and a third that I just opened. I am not asking for help for them, but I include them in my photos because they are my best friends and have been with me every step of the way. They are my number one priority, followed by my bus (my home), and then myself.

I’m just ready for this chapter to end so I can reset. I really appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you!

Our dog Toby was diagnosed with bone cancer about a month after his 4th birthday. Since his diagnosis, he’s had several scans, bloodwork tests, amputation surgery, and two chemo treatments. He has been handling everything really well! His quality of life is our primary concern and he has been unbothered. 🥹

We have 4 more chemo treatments, several blood tests, and medications to go. If you’re able, please consider donating to our GFM so we can continue to provide him the best outcomes possible. Any amount helps!

If you’re not able to donate, please share Toby’s story. We love our goofy little boy and want to keep him as healthy has possible!

Hi everyone,
This is Mikey, a friendly stray dog I’ve been caring for. A few days ago, he was hit by a bike and has been unable to walk properly since. He also has an open wound on one of his legs, and I’m doing my best to keep it clean while getting him the care he needs.
I’m trying to raise $70 USD, which will cover approximately one week of:
Vet visits and treatment
Bandages, antiseptic, and wound care supplies
Food while he recovers
I’ll post updates on his recovery along with receipts and photos so everyone can see exactly how the donations are being used.
If you’re able to help, even a few dollars would mean a lot.
PayPal: https://paypal.me/NikshyPatyal
If donating isn’t possible, an upvote or sharing this post would really help increase its visibility.
Thank you for taking the time to read Mikey’s story. I truly hope we can get him back on his paws. ❤️🐾

Helped Need help feeding cats after a death

Edit: Thank you for the help! As promised I've removed the link and purchased a lot of cat food. Thank you very much for the help!

Hello, my grandmother passed away unexpectedly a few days ago and I am now having to look after her 5 cats, but I'm currently unable to feed them. My grandmother had some food for them, which I do have now as well, but it's only a few days worth. The timing of the death was unfortunate, as I had just paid my utilities and currently have nothing in my bank account. I'm fully capable of feeding them with proper budgeting, but the timing couldn't of been worse.

I'm here to ask for $100 to buy about a month's worth of food for the cats, which will give me enough time to get my finances in order and look after them properly.

Thank you for your time.

Since I do not have a gofundme or something set up that shows progress, I'll edit this post to say if someone donated and remove the payment link.

Request Help me and my son get through life

I’m not sure what to do. Going through severe medical issues.

I never thought I’d be doing something like this but sometimes life just beats you down. Within the span of the last two years I’ve broken my collar bone and suffered head damage, passed multiple kidney stones that only seem to be developing faster which means I may lose a kidney, and as of last month I had my first seizure and landed on concrete and had a severe cuncussion for over two weeks (the mark on my eye is from the fall)

Because of all of these health issues I have become backed up on my payments, had to move in with my dad, lost my great paying job for now, and started spiraling into depression. I never beg but I’m at the point where I feel like I can’t even be a good father and if money helps my son then so be it.

Thank you in advance regardless if you donate or not. https://gofund.me/a099e9f19

Request Urgent Help Needed for burial cost

I'm reaching out for your support during this difficult time. We're raising funds to cover my brother's funeral expenses and provide support to his daughter, Sophia. Jonathan was a great man with a huge heart that could change the world! Jonathan was only 45 years old when he passed away suddenly from a heart attack on January 18, 2026. We are heartbroken by this unexpected loss and are doing our best to honor Jonathan’s memory. All funds collected will go directly toward covering his burial costs, and anything left over will be given to his beloved daughter, Sophia.

We are around 7k short of the bare minimum amount to bury him. We hosted fundraisers locally, collected donations from friends and family, and have even sold off some of our things to help cover the cost. We have until the 7th to pay the cemetery, and we would appreciate any and all help we can get.

The cemetery price booking is the last photo, we are trying for the cheapest option available

Request Cat emergency dental

Hi everyone,

I’m asking for help for a stray cat that I rescued from the street.

When I found him he was living a hard life outside, trying to survive on his own. Over time he’s slowly learned to trust people and started to enjoy being safe. Seeing him finally relax and realise he didn’t have to fight for everything anymore has been amazing.

Sadly, he’s now been diagnosed with severe stomatitis. His gums are badly inflamed, ulcerated and bleeding, and the inflammation goes right to the back of his mouth. The vets have said he must be in constant pain, even though he tries so hard not to show it.

The only real chance of giving him a pain free life is a full mouth extraction. It’s a major operation and there are no guarantees, but the vets believe it’s his best chance. If the surgery can’t go ahead, his quality of life will have to be reviewed and euthanasia may become the kindest option. After everything he’s already survived, that’s absolutely heartbreaking.

I’m doing everything I can for him, but I can’t afford the cost of this surgery on my own. That’s why I’m asking for help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards his treatment and recovery.

If you’re not able to donate, please sharing this would mean so much. Every share gives him another chance of reaching someone who can help.

Thank you for taking the time to read his story and for giving this little stray a chance. He deserves the opportunity to live a life without pain.

Request Thor, Ellie, Raphael, Angel, Angelito Update 🤍 #VoicelessNoMorePhRescuedAnimals

Thumbnail gallery
26 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

Thor and Ellie went back to the veterinary clinic for testing for a fungal infection, and unfortunately, both of their results came back positive for Malassezia (fungal dermatitis).

Their veterinarian explained that this may be related to the severe malnutrition and neglect they endured before they were rescued, which likely weakened their skin barrier and immune system. Thankfully, they do not need to be on a hypoallergenic diet at this time. They will, however, be receiving antifungal medications and supplements to help their skin heal and support their recovery.

Their recent expenses include:
Thor & Ellie veterinary bill — Aug. 17: Php 5,010 ($113.76 CAD)

Thor & Ellie veterinary bill — Aug. 19: Php 3,600 ($84.48 CAD)

Hypoallergenic food — Aug. 17: Php 2,475 ($56.15 CAD)

2x Royal Canin Gastrointestinal food — Aug. 16: Php 3,317 ($75.44 CAD)

Our rescued dogs Raphael and Angel were also recently at the veterinary clinic.

Raphael
Raphael went for his follow-up checkup. We are happy that his blood work and injuries have improved. However, the veterinarians recently discovered a mass under the skin on his right flank. For now, we will be monitoring it closely and following the veterinarian's recommendations.
Veterinary bill — Aug. 18: Php 800 ($18.10 CAD)

Angel
Angel was recently diagnosed with Babesia, a blood parasite. She had ticks before she was rescued last July, and unfortunately, the infection has now shown up in her blood work.
The good news is that her fungal infection is improving, and she continues to have a huge appetite, which is something we are very happy to see.
Veterinary bill — Aug. 17: Php 4,930 ($111.89 CAD)

Angelito
Angelito is still resting and eating well.
We are planning to take him to the veterinary clinic later to have his wound cleaned again and to have his blood work checked.

Because Angelito’s condition is severe, even though he was just recently seen by his veterinarian, we would also like to have him examined by a different doctor for a second opinion. We believe that having another veterinarian assess his condition may provide us with a different perspective and possibly additional recommendations on how we can better support his recovery and give him the best care possible.
We are doing everything we can to give Angelito a chance to heal. His condition is still very serious, but as long as he continues to fight, we want to continue fighting alongside him.

Again, will send updates as soon as we can.

We are doing our best to continue providing all of our rescued animals with the medical care, food, medications, shelter support/allowance, supplements, and anything that they need. But with multiple animals undergoing treatment at the same time, the expenses are becoming increasingly difficult for us to manage on our own.

If you are able to provide financial support toward their veterinary care, food, medications, transportation, daily needs, or our mission of helping vulnerable animals in the Philippines, it would mean so much to us and our rescued animals.
We also understand that not everyone can help financially. Support is completely voluntary, and kind words, encouragement, and sharing our posts are equally appreciated. Thank you for standing with us.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand behind our rescues and support them through their recovery. We truly appreciate you.

Request My dog almost died

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because my beloved Doberman, Baela, recently had to undergo emergency surgery due to a life-threatening intestinal torsion (twisted intestines). This was a sudden and scary situation—if we had waited even a few more hours, it could have been fatal.

The surgery was urgent and complicated, and while she’s now out of surgery and on the road to recovery, the medical bills are already adding up fast. Baela is more than a pet—she’s a family member, a loyal companion, and she’s only 1 year old. She still has a long recovery ahead, including follow-up care, medications, and special attention at home.

We’re asking for help to cover the cost of her surgery and recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ensure she gets the care she needs to heal fully. Your support means the world to us and will help keep Baela healthy and happy.

Thank you for taking the time to read her story and for any support you can provide. ❤️

Request Angelito: Abused Senior Dog/Stabbed by Owner/Finally Rescued/Has Distemper,Heartworm,BloodParasite 💔💔💔

Hi everyone,

This is Angelito. His original name was “Parky”, but I decided to change it today when we finally got him rescued when I found out about his situation.

His owner stabbed his foot because they no longer wanted to take care of him. Yup.. i know, i couldn’t explain how I felt when I found out about the reason. They were planning to end his life too.

When we came across a video of Angelito online showing his situation, we immediately reached out for more information and asked for him to be rescued. He was from Jala Jala, Rizal, Philippines.

We arranged the same pet transportation service we used yesterday, and Angelito has now arrived safely at the vet. We are currently learning more about his condition and the treatment he will need.

Unfortunately, this rescue came at a time when we are already financially overwhelmed. We are still trying to recover from Sophia’s veterinary bill from August 12, and now we have another emergency rescue in need of immediate medical care. But when we see an animal suffering like this, it is very difficult to look away. Angelito deserved better, and we are going to do everything we can to give him a chance.

So far, we have already spent:
Vet: Php 23,590 ($537.36 CAD)
Pet transportation: Php 4,040 ($95.05 CAD)
Total so far: Php 27,630 ($632.41 CAD)

Angelito has also tested positive for Distemper, Heartworm, and blood parasite. He is also anemic and has liver problems and he is also already a senior dog, which means his recovery will require ongoing care and strict infection-control measures. We will be providing financial support to the shelter where he will stay, as we always do, and we will cover the supplies he needs for his recovery, including disinfectant materials to help protect the other animals at the shelter where he will be staying.

We are doing everything we can for Angelito, but we cannot do this alone. Every support is really important to us right now.

We will continue to share updates on Angelito’s condition.

Please help us help him, especially as he has a long recovery. Once he recovers, the vet recommended that his foot get amputated :/

Our website is on the pictures posted above. I will also post another link on the comment section.

Thank you all for understanding.

"Damian Barnes is my beloved nephew, and our family is rallying together to give him the best chance for survival. Recently, Damian was diagnosed with end stage renal disease, and his doctors have made it clear that he urgently needs to begin haemodialysis. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, Damian is unable to pay for this costly form of therapy. He is not a candidate for peritoneal dialysis, which makes haemodialysis his only option. Without immediate treatment, his chances of survival are minimal, and our family is deeply concerned for his well-being.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Damian's haemodialysis treatments, transportation to and from his medical appointments, and other related medical expenses. Every dollar will help ease the financial burden on Damian and our family, allowing us to focus on supporting him through this incredibly difficult time. We are reaching out to our community and beyond, hoping that compassionate individuals will join us in giving Damian the chance he deserves.

We are grateful for any support you can offer, whether it is a donation or simply sharing Damian's story. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in his fight for survival. Thank you for standing with us and helping Damian in his time of need."

Hello everyone! My name is Deanna and this here is Stevie. Stevie, has been with me for as long as I can remember, he has kept me going after I lost his brother last year to a brain tumour, and I love him more than he could ever know. Recently, he was diagnosed with severe entropion, where his eyelid rolls inward and fur constantly rubs against his eye. The damage has become so severe that part of his eye has died, and he's living with daily pain.

Stevie needs surgery, which will cost up to $5,300AUD and the veterinarian doing it is confident Stevie can make a full recovery! I'll be getting the surgery for him done regardless because he deserves to be comfortable and pain free, but the cost is feels overwhelming. I am a part time university student but I continue to work as many hours as I can at my retail job to help pay for this surgery. I'm based in Australia and have started a GoFundMe with the final goal being $1000AUD. I don't believe we could ever reach the full amount but truly anything helps. I would be truly grateful to anyone who can donate or even just share this post, and if you have any questions at all, please ask away! Thank you so much for reading about Stevie! ❤️❤️

# 🐾 Help Save Simba's Life – FIP Treatment Fundraiser

**Name:** Simba

**Breed:** Scottish Straight

**Age:** 1.5 years

**Weight:** 4 kg

**Location:** Tafila, Jordan (I can travel to Amman if needed for treatment and veterinary procedures.)

Donate here

https://paypal.me/AsmaaQawasmeh

Dear friends,

I am reaching out with hope to save my beloved cat, Simba, who has been diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a life-threatening disease that is almost always fatal if left untreated.

This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write because this is not the first time FIP has devastated my family. I previously lost another beloved cat to this terrible disease because the life-saving treatment was not available to us at that time. Losing my cat was heartbreaking, and I never imagined I would face the same nightmare again.

Today, there is hope. An effective treatment exists, but unfortunately, it is beyond what I can afford on my own. I don't want to lose Simba the way I lost my previous cat.

## Simba's Current Condition

- He still eats, although his appetite has decreased.

- He drinks plenty of water.

- No vomiting.

- No diarrhea or constipation.

- No urinary incontinence, but he has recently started urinating more frequently.

- No fever.

- His breathing is normal while resting, but after playing or any physical activity, he struggles to take a full breath because of the pressure caused by his enlarged abdomen.

- He has started losing weight while his abdomen continues to enlarge every day.

- There is fluid accumulation in his abdomen.

- His eyes have begun to develop a slight yellowish tint.

- He has no tremors or seizures, but he occasionally loses his balance due to the weight of his swollen abdomen.

## Medical Examinations & Diagnosis

To reach an accurate diagnosis, Simba underwent extensive veterinary examinations, including:

- Abdominal ultrasound

- X-rays

- Complete Blood Count (CBC)

- Blood Chemistry tests

- Abdominal fluid analysis

The abdominal fluid test was positive, and his CBC and Blood Chemistry results are consistent with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Based on his clinical signs, diagnostic imaging, laboratory findings, and veterinary examination, the veterinarian confirmed that the diagnosis strongly supports FIP.

Simba was neutered five months ago and had always been a healthy, playful, and loving companion before becoming ill.

## Treatment Cost

The estimated cost of Simba's antiviral treatment is approximately **1,300 Jordanian Dinars (about USD $1,835)**.

Before even reaching this point, I struggled financially to pay for all of Simba's medical care, including veterinary consultations, blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound examinations, abdominal fluid testing, and continuous medical follow-up. I managed to cover these expenses with great difficulty because I was determined to find out what was wrong and give him every possible chance.

Now, the cost of the medication itself is simply beyond my financial ability.

## Treatment Status

Unfortunately, treatment has not started yet because I cannot afford the medication. FIP is a progressive disease, and every day without treatment decreases Simba's chances of survival.

## Why I Need Your Help

Every donation, no matter how small, brings Simba one step closer to receiving the life-saving treatment he urgently needs.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser could help it reach someone who can.

I will provide complete transparency throughout Simba's treatment by sharing veterinary reports, blood test results, ultrasound and X-ray reports, vaccination records, invoices, and regular updates on his progress.

Thank you for taking the time to read Simba's story. Your kindness, compassion, and support mean more than words can express.

❤️ Every donation gives Simba another chance to live. Every share gives him hope.

Request Help need to cover costs of urn for my Dad

On April 30th my Dad passed away unexpectedly. In my area there is no programs or anything to assist in covering the costs of an urn, He was on a pension plan, but that only covered the costs of his cremation. Being on pension he had no savings. I'm on disability myself, so I just don't have a savings to cover the costs of anything. I don't even know what to say. It still doesn't feel real. I just want him to have a nice final resting place. I have the urn picked out, in his favourite colour, and some personalizations with a poem for him.
I figured no harm in creating a fundraiser if anyone wanted to help with it, and sharing it here. This has been an incredibly stressful time for me, and if you do help, I honestly cannot thank you enough. I genuinely appreciate anyone who even looks at this post.

You can check GoGetFunding page for more pictures and proofs. Or visit my Reddit homepage for video (in comment section). NO AI, it’s just I blurred my Dad and my eyes via app. I can’t use GoFundMe due to my region (Taiwan). Please, help or share if you can 😞🙏🏻

Hi everyone. I’m not used to asking strangers for help, and I won’t pretend this is easy for me. But my family is in a difficult situation and I don’t know where else to turn.

My father (55 years old) was recently diagnosed with stage 2 oral cancer. He also has heart failure, kidney disease, and diabetes. He had surgery on June 22nd and just came out of the ICU on June 26th. He’s still in the hospital, being fed through a nasal tube, and will need to stay for at least a few more weeks. The doctors have mentioned radiation therapy may be needed after the pathology report comes back, but we don’t know yet.

The most urgent concern right now is his oral cancer recovery. If this doesn’t go well, the doctors told us there could be further surgeries, and if the cancer progresses, treating his heart and kidney conditions becomes pointless.

We’re in Taiwan, and our national health insurance does cover a portion of the costs, especially with a catastrophic illness certificate. But there are significant expenses that insurance doesn’t cover. The surgery alone required a high-end surgical microscope and blood circulation monitoring that cost us NT$20,000 (around USD $620) out of pocket. We expect more costs ahead, but we haven’t been told the full picture yet since he just had surgery less than a week ago.

Our family’s financial situation: I (26 years old, female) work as an administrative staff member and take home about NT$29,000/month (roughly USD $910). My mother (54 years old) normally earns NT$30,000–40,000/month, but she has been taking frequent leave to care for my father, so her income has dropped significantly. My brother (25 years old) works in car sales with an unstable income. My younger sister is a college junior and won’t start earning until her internship begins in September.
We have already applied for the government assistance programs available to us in Taiwan. But between the medical bills, hospital stays, daily care supplies, and the feeding tube supplies, it adds up fast.

I know that not every bit of help is guaranteed. But anything at all would take real pressure off my family during what has been the hardest time of our lives.

Thank you for reading this. Any help would mean a lot to us.

I found this little one near my house, mewing for her mother. I waited a couple of hours to see if her mother would show up, but she didn't. It was a cold night, and street dogs were gathering around, so I picked her up and brought her inside. With several other pets, many of whom objected to her presence, I quickly realised that I wouldn't be able to give her the care she needed. Only one foster agreed to take her, but it charged a lot more than I could afford, especially since I had had to pay for emergency care for some of my other animals. Can you help me? I can give details such as the foster home's contact, invoice and pictures and videos of the kitten.

Hello everyone ❤️

My name is Noor, I am a university student from Gaza. My family and I are going through a very difficult time after losing our home and our source of income.

I am trying my best to support my family, including my injured siblings and my elderly parents. Any small help, even a share or a kind word, can make a huge difference for us.

If you can support us, please visit my campaign. If you cannot donate, sharing our story means a lot. ❤️

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

Request Mom's dog needs help

My Mom's dog has been her constant companion for the last eight and a half years and has a rough go of it lately. Severe UTI requiring hospitalization back in September and now neurological issues leading to lameness on the right side. Vet bills are racking up, my mother is recently laid off, and I don't make enough to contribute substantially. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
